I worked at the strip club during the height of their fame. Girls would fight over who gets to dance to Travis Porter because we were guaranteed to make buckets of money dancing to Travis Porter. Customers tip based on the song more than anything else. Ugliest girl in the club could dance to the right song and make the most Stage money.

In defense of your comment, they did name their group "Travis Porter". At-least the Migo's, Gunit, D12, etc had the common sense to make a group name SOUND like a group name. Although these days I wouldn't be surprised if a rapper had a name like "D12" or "GUNIT" assuming the groups didn't exist.

The problem was their music was popular but we couldn't identify who was who and who they actually were from a fan standpoint. Like I dont believe their brand was so big as their records. Migos and Rae Sremmurd couldve fallen into the same mistake but somehow they overcame it.

They explained their label situation very well - this happens to so many good groups and artists. Respect to these guys for their transparency, and they are surprisingly humble considering the fact they were the biggest thing in hip hop at one point in time.
