I appreciate you leaving in the mess ups with priming the car. Some people want to give off the impression that they're perfect and don't make mistakes like the rest of us. I like that you keep that shit in the video. Great content as usual!
Getting my car rebuilt with IAG stage 2 so I figured I would learn what they’re actually doing to my car! Great videos and subscribed because of your honesty, transparency, and knowledge. I’m no video editor so I can’t judge but you’ll learn that skill over time and they keep getting better each video. Also good job on taking on the feedback from the viewers. Much respect!
Great video. What is a waste gate?and what does it do for your engine. I could Google it but Bader I love your electro mechanical mind brother. I love these videos. I have a 2017 base model wrx and its nick name is ocean blue 💙. I would have never considered doing anything to this car . After looking at your channel the sky is the limit. Stay safe guys.
Loved this build series man... not sure what camera setup you use but go look at the rode shotgun mic with the wind muffler on it... I can be filming out a car window at 75mph with wind blowing at me and hardly pick up any wind noise at all
Thank you sir! Im using a SONY A7 II camera just built in mic right now. I will look into the one you mentioned. Next video actually has me asking if anyone knows of a solution lol
@@BaderBuiltRacing yeah that camera will work with the mic I've got... www.adorama.com/rdvmga.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw-YT1BRAFEiwAd2WRtmKH7_tB0mc4Z002lyVcA3ktRXMIdFPYzByWA3doFPhP3od2NvyTVxoCO6sQAvD_BwE&gclid=CjwKCAjw-YT1BRAFEiwAd2WRtmKH7_tB0mc4Z002lyVcA3ktRXMIdFPYzByWA3doFPhP3od2NvyTVxoCO6sQAvD_BwE& Theres the link to the first site that came up... 110 bucks and it works awesome just slides into the hotshoe on top of your camera and plugs in on the side no battery or anything needed... keep up the content man I love it
Love the first start experience! Nerve racking when it's your own car especially haha. Were those camshafts new to this build? It sounded like it but wasn't 100% sure.
Hey, quick question. I notice you always pull the intake manifold off prior to removing the engine, any reason why? I've seen the EJ25 engines pulled with the manifold on. Just curious.
Ive mentioned in a couple videos now, its just a preference is all. They can come out with leaving intake manifold on. Travis car is set up to go in the car without it and then install the intake after AOS and other things are hooked up first,
Dammm, sounds hella sick Josh! Congrats Travis, now you got a badass 700whp BADERBUILT engine in your car built by the Subaru Wizard himself. Man, I would love to see someone run into you or Josh with their 500-700whp Mustangs/Camaros/Corvettes thinking you guys are just around Stage 2 plus modified. Would you please list a few main upgrades other then engine on this build Josh? (Ex. Exact Bigger Turbo/Injectors/Fuel pump & hardwire brand & Clutch) I know a lot of us are wondering, What would a 700whp build engine/installed by you (parts & labor) similar to Travis’s package run including all the parts provided by you? If for you cant say above your head please email me. Thanks!
Thank you for your support sir! I love running into cars like that lol. Before youtube i ran into a hellcat charger with full bolt ons in mexico with hyper blue. Should of seen the look on his face when he got bus lengths pulled on him lol Usually a 700whp build through me begins at 40k Here is a list of mods for travis car: ETS Rotated Turbo kit ETS 4" Front mount intercooler kit Perrin V1 equal length header Garrett GTX3576R GEN II / TIAL .82 vband housing I-Wire speed density kit IAG fuel rails / line kit ID2000cc injectors Aeromotive FPR IAG TGV deletes Torque Solution Air pump delete 44mm TIAL wastegate 50mm TIAL Bov Radium Billet fuel hanger 2 walbro 450lph fuel pumps Radium wiring kit Vibrant -8 feed Vibrant -6 return ACT Extreme duty 6 puck clutch ( would rather have a exedy triple disc) AEM 5 bar map sensor AEM IAT sensor
Thanks for taking your time to answer my questions and list all the modification parts Josh. All those are definitely very nice quality/reliable mod parts. Wowww, that’s AWESOME that you beat a Hellcat that bad bro! Hellcats are def the big brother of most of the American Muscle cars today! Mad RESPECT! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge, skills & tutorials. Keep up the great work my friend! It will take some time to get your BADERBUILT name out there but it will pay off big time for you in the long run. 1 second ago
Such a mean sound with those cam's and header combo it's like a subie on steroids! Also you should post a dyno video or driving video of it after I want to hear those turbo sounds!! I'm going to call you the Subaru doctor cause you could fix anything on them lol
Dude I noticed you constantly looking over your shoulder checking to see if “Bob The Builder” is scheming on you! That must really suck for you to be always worried 😟 about that obnoxious neighbor calling the cops on you every time you need to start up your cars. You have awesome content thanks for putting it all out there for our entertainment and education we really appreciate you and honest transparency 😎
I wondered if anyone would ever call me out for that haha. It honestly sucks, maybe one day i can get him to go for a ride along reaction video lol. Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to watch them :)
Well let’s think about it for a minute . It’s bad enough having a neighbor with a loud sounding car . The reality is this is a neighborhood and not a mechanic shop and nobody would be happy hearing this everyday . I know I’m gonna get a few negative comments but oh well it my opinion
Did you delete the coolant expansion tank? Don't see..you are using the coolant funnel to burp system, from the radiator. Is that the street aos set up or competition? I was gonna get the comp version but got talked into the street. Haven't installed it yet, soon to do
I love your channel. Heard about you from a friend that lives around your area. I have 17 WRX so i am really excited to see what you do with the FA platform. Also you can try using ethernet when uploading your vidoes it could save you time.
Thank you for your support sir! Im working hard right now on developing some parts for the FA platform build with several companies. Yes sir i plug it into the ethernet cable when i upload and unfortunately it takes 12+hrs to upload
@@BaderBuiltRacing It most likely a combination of file size and upload speed. But I have not done too much to my WRX. AOS, Cobb Turboback Non Resonated, EGR Delete. Everything else is cosmetics besides the DBA 4000 t3 Rotors, EBC Redstuff Pads and Torque Solutions Master Brake Cylinder Brace. But plan on Deleting TGV's Intake, Trans Mount/Bushings, Rear Diff Bushings. Nothing built in the near future but enjoy your information.
I noticed you talking about his heads in the previous video. Can I get to 600hp with stock heads or do I need to spend for something more when I build/deck the shortblock?
Sweet. Sounds amazing. It’s quite surprising how much air the turbo flows at idle. The gates TCK 328 timing kit you used, how reliable is it for a daily driver? Otherwise great content. Love that’s trick you used in the previous video to sort out the timing issue. Following this one closely. Cheers 🍻
These cam gear specs move alot of air at idle haha. The gates timing belt / kit is all i use and never have any issue with them over the last 7 years sir. I appreciate the support!
Travis goals were 700whp or less and he wanted a responsive turbo. This garrett is as responsive as stock turbo if not only a few hundred rpm later and will make his power goals. He absolutely loves how it turned out.
Hey got a 400whp stock internal 2019 sti done by possurm bourne motersport here in new zealand any concerns with this much power on stock block they used every high quality part ao seprater literally all safty measures in place
I feel like I have pretty decent understanding of cars but you own so many Subies and I don't understand why so many motors and parts are being mixed and matched around. Too many projects seem to be going on at one time for me to keep up.
Acrimoniousbear1 I’ve many different cars, my 1000+hp, 600whp v2 ctsv, e90 M3, many Honda’s, I like everything. As for parts getting mixed and matched? I let travis use my Intercooler piping kit since it’s his daily driver and needs a car. Where as I have several to drive, ETS was shut down due to corona for last month so we’ve been waiting for the piping kit we ordered patiently.
A relative of mine just got a 19 WRX and I am semi interested in them. What are the costs to build a 450-600whp build? Thank you for helping a newbie 😂✊🏽
Im working with the FA platform currently and 450whp is alot easier to achieve on that platform than 600whp. Theres a big price jump when going that big on a FA engine.
Even 450whp is going to be pushing it on a stock motor. At least you've got the transmission swap done. I've seen a lot of people destroy their stock trans at that power level.
Word of advice we don’t need to know everyday your putting the camera on a tri pod and doing a time lapse we can obviously tell saying alright guys well let’s get to work and leave it at that works just fine lol
_BaderBuilt o ok cuz I went with the 8.9:1 pistons and I’ll be using the bc272 cams for dual avcs but after watching ur videos I wanna delete my avcs altogether and use the aftermarket cam gears n focus more on my top end power
Soon, i havent had any time to focus on the FA build again lately. I have been doing leg work though to try my best to get some new parts engineered to test for you guys.
As for the wind noise issues, yeah, fix it, that's terrible! I get to say that because for the last 27 years, I've made my money by doing sound for TV shows, News, movies and documentaries. So I might know a thing or two about mics and wind screens. First off, are you using an external mic? If yes, then for heavier wind you are going to need more than the foam windscreen that came with it. Most name brand mics available for DSLRs have a fuzzy wind screen available for them. Depending on te mic, they usually aren't too expensive. But from the sound I hear on your recordings, it sounds to me like you are just using the built in mic on the camera. If it's anything like my Canon 7D, the internal mic is simply a series of small holes in the body on the right side of the body as you look at the front of the camera. the mic is behind those holes. I have made a wind screen for my camera's mic by using sonicly transparent sound felt. A single layer of that sort of felt taoed down around the front surface acts like a wind dampner and stops the wind noise. It's the single cheapest trick for this. You could use so felt like what is used to cover speaker cabinets and then carefully tape it on around the outside edge. not over the front. that would block the mic. It may come off at some point, but it will work. I would suggest that you make an investment in your camera gear and get a proper mic for your camera. You could spend a couple hundred dollars and get a nice system that help improve your videos a lot. Yeah you could spend a lot more on a mic, but for what you're doing, something like this would be all you need. www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Compact-Mountable-Microphone-Windscreen/dp/B00S94YO8S/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2XC1RYB62R5PI&dchild=1&keywords=sennheiser+dslr+microphone&qid=1587693304&sprefix=Sennhieser+DSLR%2Caps%2C178&sr=8-3 Good luck. And I'm enjoying your content and builds so far.
I honestly appreciate your time to give me so much insight sir. Yes you are correct i am using the built in mic right now, im using a SONY A7 II camera. Im gonna take a look at your link right now!
