Not gonna lie, I know No More Heroes' music never disappoint but this is genuinely the hardest boss theme I've ever heard in my life. Welcome back, Travis. I missed you.
Now this is some emotional rap right here along with the instruments. “Take your finger off the trigger. I’m not really a killer. I just can’t seem to figure how to make my life better”
I unironically feel bad for Silver Face. Not only does he confess to Travis that he shouldn't be a part of this game of killing, he demonstrates that in his theme song. That and the dude only wanted to have fame, completely outshadowed by being DLC lol.
@@ArizAmuuru He's definitely my favorite boss. He's got the best theme in the game by far, difficulty on par with Smoking King, and him not actually wanting to be a killer is a nice subversion. I hope he makes a cameo in the third game.
idk whos responsible for writing the lyrics, idk if its suda or the performers of the song, or maybe both, but they really understood the character and story extremely well. making such an absolute banger in the nmh series
Cool fact is that in the PS4 version he says himself that he feels a bit honored to technically be the final boss but still believes people came to the stage to unlock Bad girl
@@Anonymous-73 yeah the uploader had this named "Silver Face" for the longest time, he changed it after this comment was made. You obviously didnt know that so its fine
Even though people (including myself) bought the DLC for BadGirl they actually ended up giving us a really good boss too. He’s my favorite boss from this game too.
One thing I love about this song is how some of the lines can be seen from both Travis and Silver Face’s perspectives. “I just want to live my life at my own fuckin pace” (Travis’ easygoing part-time lifestyle, Silver Face’s frustrations over his misleading portrayal) “Why can’t I be like the [ ] with the silverface?” (Travis wants to live like how he sees Silver Face, Silver Face wishes he could be the super psycho people expect him to be instead of the loser he is) “I’m the underdog, ignore my fate|Never gave a fuck in the first place|I’m just gettin’ buck like I’m silverface|I’m just diggin in the muthafuckin record crate” (Travis never saw himself with a big fancy title or any of the stuff he first wanted when he became an assassin, Silver Face is depressed and has accepted the fake life he was given, no longer caring) It’s such a neat song, and I can’t stop listening to it.
in-universe, the game character 'Silver Face' seems to be inspired by the legend of Kamui, with both his name and his use of harpoon guns referencing the events of The Silver Case. The line 'Take your finger off the trigger, I'm not really a killer' is really significant and to that end, the song's relevant to Uehara as well.
sounds like its mostly going to be vocals for boss theme if the first track they released is anything to go off of. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LzBjE8e53D0.html
had to comment again, this song goes so fucking hard, just for one single boss fight, how does SUDA51 get the most incredible talent when it comes to music in his games. This song might be my favorite one in the whole franchise.
While other boss themes have more views and attention, I think I speak for a major chunk of the fanbase when I say this is the *BEST BOSS THEME* in the franchise.
You ain’t fucking wrong dude. It feels like it represents the entire series as a whole, the final standstill. I would’ve loved if they saved this theme for FU but it wouldn’t make sense thematically i suppose
While this is the best song is the best one fully featured in the games, the red orca songs featured in 3 when you listen to the versions with lyrics are REALLY close seconds
Otakamerd LoL any publisher would if it’s making them money, think from a company aspect not friend, if no one wanted to try this game they would cut funding to grass hopper lol
That would be so hype! He got so sick of being a DLC boss, he just going to be like "Fuck logic, I'm going to the real world to fight that badass assassin again!" And then he appears outta nowhere as a secret surprize boss!
If it happens, I imagine it would be after he somehow convinced Death and Drive to let him out of the video game, so he can seek fame in the real world. Then after figuring it out he was STILL living inside a Video Game, outside of the Death Drive MK 2, he gets pissed and... lives his life doing nothing in a apartment, maybe with a dog and playing video games. Then the alien invasion happens and he decides "fuck it" and goes hunting aliens to maybe get someting out of it. And then he bumps into Travis, they have a talk and Travis see that Silver Face is still pissed for still being inside a video game and for never finding a way to get famous, and then MORE pissed after figuring out he was a secret boss (but not so much, since it was better then being a DLC boss, again). Travis brings the idea of a rematch, to help him let all hos anger out. Without caring anymore, Silver Face accepts. After the fight, Silver Face is more relaxed and Travis convinces him to seek his fame in another way, maybe without violence, since he remembers that Silver Face wasn't a fan. Silver thinks about it and agrees, putting his gun down and returning to his apartment and his dog, and since then he decides to be famous as a video game pro. In my opinion, this is the more "No More Heroes" way of him returning, in my opinion.
I remember silver face rant saying people bought the dlc for bad girl. Honestly I couldn’t care less about her. I bought the dlc to fight him and listen to this great song.
I purchased the game in physical, it included the season pass. So I'd never bought the DLC if the game just had the cartridge. So that was a great marketing strategy.
So you also commit super murder pin ball for a living after murdering all of your girlfriends and becoming a mercenary in a third world country before being caught and forced into said super murder pinball?
I didn’t like this game. But holy shit silver face is so fucking good from his boss fight, to theme and arena. Everything about him works well for the game he is in.
@@agniratha7297 That was my initial guess, but since they're fairly similar sounding/courage could make more sense for Silver Face's character I just wanted a second opinion. Thanks for clarifying!
Was wondering where you got this track? Did you rip it straight from the game files or did you get it from another source? Ive been looking around for the TSA soundtrack in high quality and found somebodies game rip in WMA but its missing the tracks I was really hoping for, namely this and the pleather for breakfest and season of the samurai 8bit renditions.
I always thought most of the bosses/games almost seem like they could be entirely separate suda games, hell damned dark night is literally another suda game.
I'm surprised no one has ever tried to code a spiky green shell or something that just targets random people but otherwise functions the same as a blue shell
If I had a nickel for every time I played as a character with a laser sword who fights a boss named Silver Face, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t that much, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
*The game that killed No More Heroes* - Proceeds to be know as one of the best spinoff titles - Helped funned the third game - All Seven bosses are kickass - World Building
@@Oh-Ben yeah well these guys do it poorly. If I could rewrite my comment I would say something like “this song had a lot of English and the English parts made no sense. Other than that it’s a pretty good song” I probably wrote my original comment because of the 2:06 area. I think I could make this song work in a playlist if I edited some stuff out. English is in a lot of foreign music, I don’t dislike a song just because they speak English, it’s just when they do it and the lyrics suck. Also I have heard plenty of Japanese rap songs with very little or no English but yeah it’s probably the most likely genre to have it.
