Fighting against Henry, who appears to have an...Irish accent. With reddish-brown hair. And he's Travis's brother. Travis has a screwed up bloodline! Proper rights to music mentioned at end of video.
The thing about this and MalosiMudios' comment made me realize is that not only are you both correct... *Henry's theme is also trying to start* You already know travis' theme and can clearly hear the starting notes. The guitar riff is the beginning of his theme, a theme you never get to hear because you aren't playing his story. Both of their egos are clashing to the point neither of you are able to get a lead, until ego gets left behind and you are left with pure emotion. Its a pretty sick thing to get across with just music.
@@dkld6575 Watching Thor does mad stuff to a man. ...As well as possibly other things that might lead to you developing false memories and losing your Irishness.
No More Heroes fans when they get ambushed by an assassin while taking a shit who is then killed by your brother and you two have a fight in a Motel parking lot.
@@dragonmastertheedgeking1595 nmh is only two years younger than dmc 3 but i wouldnt be surprised if there is some inspiration especially with the twin brother plot
Best part about that line is that it's not even directed at Travis, it's directed at the guy who tried to get the drop on him while he was taking a shit
This song is really fitting for the fight when you think about it. "We are finally cowboys" refers to the game cowboys and Indians. Travis and Henry aren't playing as children anymore, they're the real deal now. They are real "cowboys."
This boss fight and theme have stuck with me for 15 goddamn years. I was 13 when I played this game. It rattled me playing and I had points of frustration, but was still infatuated with it...this song, this fight, this ending was worth everything the game put you through. One on One, no gimmicks, a deathmatch in a shitty motel parking lot. Clashing swords. East vs West. I haven't found that exit they call paradise yet, but I'm still looking. I fucking love this game.
Im coming back to game just to beat Henry again and again, every time he screams "get off" or every time he backflips and does his crazy spin attack its just feels awesome
@@Davaal same also beating the shit out of him in parry is really satisfying, suplex on henry is pretty cool too. But i hate nmh3 henry maybe i could change my mind when i play it but i just love his Irish accent... I know some stuff happened to him on Travis strikes again but how?? This man is a awesome ass kicking machine what the hell happened???
Man, Henry was so hard to beat on bitter. Like I felt like giving up after dying only once cuz it takes so long to chip away his health. It’s insane. Beating him felt like one of the best achievements of my life.
It really is up there in top 10 badass video game moments. Got my ass kicked like 20 times in a row and then all I did was darkstep like I had ultra instinct. 2's finale was disappointingly easy compared to NMH 1 Bitter Henry. But Bitter Silver Face in TSA is fucking amazing.
@@ZigealFaust I gotta admit, the final boss in NMH 2 was actually very hard for me even on sweet. Idk what it was. I guess I just couldn’t read his attack patterns we’ll because I know Henry’s attack patterns well which is part of why I was able to beat him.
@@ZigealFaust THAT'S THE POINT the whole point of the game is that revenge is unsatisfactory and not worth the effort (also phase 2 was hard as hell on bitter holy shit)
@@predeterminedmeat5024 I beat nmh 1 and 2 on bitter but when I got to Pizza Batt Jr i stopped lol, its the one boss i never beat on bitter mode because he was too hard to fight
The virgin NMH3 Henry -Typical edgelord -Kills Travis in the bathroom -Not voiced by Raiden -Doesn’t have this as his theme VS. The Chad NMH1&2 -Cool as hell -Is above killing people in the toilet -Voiced by Raiden -Has this as his theme
Well, considering what happened with the voice actor for Raiden, I'm not exactly surprised, but I can certainly give credit to the folks at Grasshopper, for essentially creating a clever work-around, in that regard.
@@Jet_Genesis720 He was accused of sexual harassment a la #MeToo. I believe they were found to be false, but I'm not sure and someone can correct me if I'm wrong. But he did not voice Henry as a result of it.
He wasn't necessarily cleared of any wrongdoing, but he also isn't cleared of that potentiality. The case that went to court was a civic one, not a criminal one, and the case was ultimately dismissed against him.
NMH1 doesn't have the most in-depth combat or anything, but my god. Everything about this fight is great and this track makes it perfect. Few things match how insane it felt fighting Henry for the first time
I know that if you think about what's going on for a second this battle might seem silly, but this music makes this one of the coolest boss fights in a video game that I've ever experienced. I remember the night I ended up finishing this game, it had gotten a little late and I reached this part at around 3 A.M., and hearing this music blast out of my TV that late while I was dead tired and knowing that I had finally reached the last boss fight of the game was so cool and kind of surreal. What a way to end a game. I love this game so much.
This is the first time I ever hear No More Heroes soundtrack with a proper end to them, all I hear in RU-vid are loops and hearing the closing part of the song literally blew me away because I never heard it before!
I haven't played 3 yet but henry's absolutely psychotic redesign is unnerving to me Anyways this is one of my favorite endings ever. My high school senior quote in the yearbook was "let's find that exit they call paradise!" In honor of one of the best games ever made.
@@cuac232 He also got indoctrinated a cult which might have made him learn Death Filing from the Silver Case, so... yeah, there's probably something else to that. I find it deeply tragic.
This is one of the most underrated video game tracks in my opinion. That guitar?? And the way the track subtly outlines ending theme…it’s so good and perfectly fits the mood of the fight. I love how the track starts off cold and almost calculating but then as soon as the guitar kicks in it becomes intense.
It's very possible that Henry was raised somewhere else where he could've developed a different accent from Travis And again, Siblings aren't required to share the same hair colour.
@@predeterminedmeat5024 hair color can change due to exposure to sunlight. It's common for people to be born with blonde hair and then have their head hair turned black or brown, while maintaining it blond in other regions as facial or chest hair
@@TimBagels Twin Dragons starts out hype but sort of mellows out and drones out too much for me. Pledge of Demon's up there though. So is Overcoming The Dragon.
such a disrespect. Smash used to be about loving nintendo now it's a marketing tool. Bayonetta got a whole character...Suda refused to have nmh on anything but the wii for so long and thus was like the only good M rated game series...and he gets a costume...shameful
A battle of 2 guys A loser weeb and an Iris folk using lightsaber smashing in a motel parking lot Somehow the weeb is the little brother of the handsome folk What a fucking wild fight
Remembering that fight.. Yikes, so much paaaaaain. But did it in the end. Learned to dodge that one-ko move. Worked to get the best weapon. Get the strenght boosters through the game. Darn, spend a good deal on this game.
Mr. Karbs : oh no SpongeBob quick real it in can’t you hear the music That we are finally Cowboys every sailor knows that means death real it before it’s too late you stinking billrat stop playing that. Stop it please I’m begging ya
He should throw those pants away and get new ones I hate how distressed denim transformed from a story/purpose/call to arms into some meaningless trendy garbage. Really bums and agitates me out whenever I see it in public, I really like the lore behind the pants type.
@@Kirbechu99 he shows up in the bubblegum fatale travis strikes back story mission where he has joined some sort of cult or faction called the emerald knights after watching a movie (apparently thor which I think makes sense with the parody of the MCU they have going on) and compared himself to thor and travis to loki. If you're wondering why he's not irish anymore it's because the Henry we knew from previous games had the memories and personality of someone else. And that was hinted st in travis strikes again when travis says he showed up to his trailer with a new personality, but it was explained in 3. I don't hate what they did with him I'm just a little sad he's a villain again after in 2 he was somewhat of an ally. I also dont like that we get no closure to his character, after he kills travis he just disappears- and we likely will not get closure for him cause this is the final game in the series at least for like a decade
dude they screwed Henry in nmh 3 so hard, not only does he not even remotely look like what he does in 1 and 2 but they fucking KILL HIM! i was so heartbroken
@@TSmith-is8xu I believe that's the intent, play Travis Strikes Again also it's explicitly stated that he's been brainwashed by a cult so there you have it. The change in voice actors is due to controversy relating to Quinton Flynn.
henry in nmh1 is really, really bad, he's not a boss he's an endurance test, he has alot of health so you just end up dodging for what feels like hours for very little progress, then later on there's an instakill move and like man, whenever i get to that point I'm just thinking of any other boss i could be fighting
You suck lol, you dodge and block one combo and then wail on him. Move the stick sideways after being hit by an attack while blocking to activate dark dodge
@@Ender41948 he is terrible, objectively, thanks for replying here so i could fix it but besides that henry as a boss sucks. He is bad, as a character he is cool but we barely see any of him anyway but as a boss? Absolute garbage tier, lower than holly summers, lower than speed buster bc it doesn't pretend to be a boss battle and lower than harvey.
@@doritosquid6043 It is the level of a game called Juke's Towers of Hell, or for short, JToH (hence JTard, from JToH and retard) (levels are called towers in the game). The tower uses this song on one of its floors so the annoying community sometimes comes and comments on the tower's name (and they ruin the comment section lol)
I'm so happy seeing more and more people get into playing No More Heroes, yeah it was pretty popular when it first came out and everyone knows Travis Touchdown but it was never as popular as other big hack and slash games like Bayonetta, DMC, and MGR, but now that the entire series is available on switch and pc seeing so many more people get the chance to play these games, listen to the kickass music and meet so many memorable and funny characters is always cool to see. Hopefully NMH convinces more people to get into Suda and Grasshopper's many other games but as far as I'm concerned, I'm just happy people got to experience this wonderful gem of a satire on the hero's journey, main characters that kill with barely any shred of remorse, and meaningless violence in video games. Well mainly the first game focuses on that but ya get what I mean, at least its fun. ⚔️🍓🍰🫐🍫🍨
