Don't worry about gear issues with this car. E-revo has By far the strongest gears out of all Traxxas RCs. Glad to see some people still making content on these. Little do people know they are missing out on one of the best, most unique 8th scales on the market.

I found a great condition for almost a bargain an arrma Nero big rock. finished servicing and made it almost like new. I modified it to make it have more ground travel and a better suspension setup so im excited to see how it handles. Its my first ever “monster truck” also with F1 style suspension. You can still buy spares and i bough a lot of them. The parts are sold pre covid 19 pandemic prices! I have to wait til spring to run it unfortunately
Nice quick bash. I still enjoy my gen 1 E-Revo. Tossed a Game Changer fan on the motor and that works well where I run. Not heavy into stunts or intense bashing but great for the fun bashing around here. Looking forward to more on this one. Eventually I’ll need to replace it, but until then long live the gen 1.
I was just running mine. Far and away my most used RC it’s sunk in a pond - running when I got it out lol - run the speed gearing (it gets hot) and run some big duratrax tires on it - it’s FAST. Best value in RC at the moment. Will it take sends like a Kraton exb, a maxx, etc etc? No. Is it cool as hell with the cantilever suspension and super fast? Yep!! Cheap to fix with parts everywhere? Yep!

the first revision of the 2.0 did rip the ends of the tie rods, but the newer revision of the rods is much stronger. i bashed mine hard, and i have never ripped a rod end on either the rod itself, or the shocks. true story! but i did eventually rip the pivot balls out of the a-arms, so upgraded this front and back to RPM, wich is alot softer and absorbs impact better. had very little breakage over all. replaced the wing with an arrma wing (much more durable) and replaced the wing mount replaced 1 differential output gear, snapped the axle clean of spur gear first run, guess wrong mesh from factory.. and ofc... i had a full throttle crash into a wooden fence pole that didnt even budge. that broke the car in 2 so needed chassies, front diff housing, bumper mounts, and the pin for front arms snapped. the long one. still no tie rods failed. lol.. :)
Cool jumping video. I’ve been contemplating between the WideMaxx and the eRevo 2.0 for my first 4WD. Any thoughts or suggestions between the two. I’ve heard the eRevo is more fragile than the WideMaxx. PLMK. Thanks for your time and the video.

The 2.0 is a clip less body so no body pins the 1.0 also had a castle power plant not a traxxas one the body style is also different due to the clipless design on the 2.0
The way the suspension eats up the terrain and lands pillow plush - again not a hardcore basher - but it’s just a hell of a lot of fun! That motor is tough. I’ve run mine to the point of not being able to touch it at all several times And can’t tell an effect.
Just fixed up my e revo last night. Reglued the tires where they were falling apart can’t wait to take it out for a spin today! One thing I did that helped a lot with jumping is just heavy duty tie rods. It’s annoying when a run ends because one of them bends or pulls out.
