I love this charger!! I just got one with my xmaxx. It has a phone app that tells you real-time voltages, and remaining charge time. Quality at its best! Traxxas is just killing it in the RC world now a days. You can monitor both batteries charging in real time on your phone while your away from the charger! I love the Traxxas EZ peak dual live charger.

I got this charger last year, best charger ever (if you use traxxas lipos), it is simplicity made a charger, truly plug and play, using it almost every single day, when going back to my hrc or the hota d6 they feel like going back a decade.

I'm so glad I bought a 4s charger for my maxx with the 5000mah 4s , I didn't know 😅 , was just gonna get the battery but I was like might as well get a new charger too

That’s exactly why I went with the traxxas ez peak duo for my maxx and merv and I’ll only use traxxas branded batteries with my traxxas cars. Super simple and safe to use. Edit: and I just realized the duo won’t charge 4s lipos. Returning this one as we speak to amazon and will be ordering the peak live.

Just got the same charger and two 3s batteries for my e revo. Makes charging so easy and fast. Now to get some traxxas batteries for my sons slash and he can use it also. I like the fact that I wont have to make sure hes setting it up right.

I have A3S lifel battery that has puffed up a little bit on the corner. How toothpaste it do I do anything to it to make it dischaquestion? How do I fix it's? It's sitting at. 4. Voltages right now.Well, plugged in to the charger found out it has Four-power voltage.Don't know how to put it in storage mode so it won't wreck the battery.Try calling traxxas Store, but I'm not replacing it.Don't know what to do

I like the traxxas batteries. Some of mine lasted 4 years, and I never really took that care of them because I was starting out of the hobby. Now I have so much RC stuff that the traxxas stuff is too expensive. Right now I'm using floureon battties because they are cheaper. So far they have been good to me after 8 months of abuse... let's hope that they last!

You know I love Traxxas ez peak chargers and batteries also. And not that I am new to the hobby but because the Traxxas lipos have lasted me years usually and good warranty on them. And honestly some days I only have so much time to get out and rc so it’s nice when it’s quick and easy and no fussing around. I’ve had some bad luck with other lipos over the years even with proper care and storage charges etc.

- your intro is the #1 reason I have never tried to self right my revo. way too hard on the drive train parts. - even using a smart charger u should charge them on non-flammable surface and/or use a lipo bag

First I am hearing that the Dual does not do 4s. Good to know being I am planning on picking up this truck this weekend. Having to buy another charger may push that back another week.

One channel stopped working on my Traxxas dual. This is the third one to do the same thing. I am now moving away from Traxxas chargers and connections. Before I left the store with my X-Maxx, and most recently, my Solar Maxx I had the store put EC5s on the trucks. Now am using a Venom Dual Pro charger and am pretty happy with it.

yea brother that self righting is known to blow diffs most people dont use it ive had nothing but problems with traxxas lipos and i take care of my lipos storage charge i only charge at 1c ive had new traxxas batteries go flat dead when stored properly i do like the bluetooth chargers though

Awesome vid , as I already own it , but I like to see how others react and go through the options for the 1st time, I’m not sure also why you can’t start it from the phone , maybe because it’s a actual button on the charging station to where the other options are just through the circuit board therefore it’s harder to actually get the a charger to start through the app , and obviously that makes perfect sense, as if the charger was all computerized it wouldn’t be a problem as there wouldn’t be any buttons on the charger other then maybe a hard reset or something like the smartphones have !! But also sad to see your a Erevo busted ! Did it happen when you were trying to remote flip it ?? Awesome Vid !! Keep up the Great Work !! 👍✌️

Thanks for this great video! Quick question when I plug in my 6700 4s on balance charge it shows charging at 13.4. Should I manually set it for 6.7 ? Or is it safe to let it charge at the factory setting at 13.4 ? Thanks agin just never chargers my battery’s that hight

The traxxas batteries are designed for that. But still, you can choose your preferred charge rate through the app, furthermore, the charger dynamically adjusts the current, 2C charge only happens for a brief period of time when the battery is first plugged in and has no charge.

The formula for calculating wattage is: W (joules per second) = V (joules per coulomb) x A (coulombs per second) where W is watts, V is volts, and A is amperes of current. In practical terms, wattage is the power produced or used per second.

Bought the charger , after 3 weeks , charged my battery and then all of a sudden all the lights lit up , now I can't charge or even check batteries. Gonna have to call traxxas Monday Dec 14 :(.

Good charger! But be aware you will wear out your lipos faster with this charger.. it charges at 2C by default. So if you put in a 3S 5000mah it will charge at 10 amps. You can manually change this in the app, but it wont save the setting for next time, so you have to do it every time. I only charge at 2C if im in a hurry.. reduces battery life.

Yeah.. It bugs me but i can charge my 2 6500mah 4s lipos from dead in about an hour on balance charge so im not to mad about it lol

If you have kits who use traxxas lipos and truck yeah i understand this purchase but if you are an adult and know your stuff you charge your lipos at 1C you will be fine. I dont care what they say i stick with 1C charge even if they say 2-3C charge safe how do you know you ruining your lipos like that. Manufactueurs use that tactic to wear the lipos and that you buy more baterries from them i think why your friends has set their house almost on fire is that they are charging their lipos wrong mostly the charge rate like im saying. And self righting is a gimmy who kinda ruins your drivetrain never do it walk and get it up

Surchaufeur charge rate is not the main culprit when it comes to lipos bursting and causing a fire. Like Mark said it’s wrong cell count or IMO it’s from leaving them plugged in. You’ll never see or hear of a lipo bursting when it’s sitting unplugged. Always when plugged in. My suspicion is most people forget they’re plugged in. Then blame it on the charger.

My 26 amp charger was only $120. It sends Pwm and sbus signals...can test speed controllers and servos....does all kinds of rad shit. Who even needs a dual charger lol? Who charges 2 different chemistry type batteries at once? Great charger for safety with kids so true though

Also i have theory on how the Traxxas ID works. And I believe it works off of Resistance. Because I noticed the Traxxas 2S #2843 has only one small gauge wire on the negative lead for the ID while as The Traxxas 3S #2832x has it on both Negative and Positive wires. Then when you plug in the Batterys. The charge just reads the resistance and Determines which kind of battery it is. Again that my theory on it.

That live charger won't let you charge any other batteries that have the balance wires unless u use the app on ur phone & go in & allow it to charge them. You have to use the app to set the charge rate & stuff but after that it works great
