Man that Big Rock is a beast!!! Arrma is killing it! I've had my Vorteks 3S for 2 weeks now bashing it hard and not one issue or breakage yet! "while I knock on some wood, lol" I'm loving my Vorteks!! Yet another awesome video brother!!! Keep 'em coming!
@@thunderrc I was going to pretend o was opening a new XMAXX’s and have it blast out of the box to a big send. I’m building a bigger ramp. DEATH RAMP! I have to keep up with you!
I was out bashing started at my local hobby store bash track. Was running with 2 x max a few 6 s matching every jump huge 🤣 all 5 of there cars broke. Went 10 miles to only rc publick track. Same there 2 x max 8 s and 6 s and a slash all broke not running me and my son matching every jump and more what did we break the wheel off the wheelie bar . What didn't they break . Omg. I thought I was out classed by the bigger cars but our 2 big rocks stock a beast they went home running.👍 Bash on bros.
Epic video. Stoked to see you've got a Big Rock. For the price of your Maxx and it's upgrades I'll take the Big Rock a Vorteks and two 3s batteries. The Maxx is a beast but even stock here in New Zealand they are nearly double the price of an Arrma 3s. Add on the must have upgrades and 🤪
Wow great job muhman!!! Love it. Thanks for explaining the upgrades and the body design for me. I love the great vids you put together. Keep up the great work. Your Awesome!!! 👍
@@thunderrc absolutely man. I'd say the 'ol shoe Goo is a must for those bodies. Especially when you got hood pins. It's a massive pain to get them out if there half way under the body. Lol.
How much you got in that Maxx? $570 for the truck (no coupons allowed), +$700 in upgrades= $1270...That's enough scratch for 3.6 Big Rocks. That's a lot of spares. No contest. Weight hurts the Maxx, at 10.4lbs, stock, while the Rock is MUCH lighter at 6.25lbs, and the Rock has re-branded Hobby Wing electrics, already. To be fair, I've ordered shocks (from Jennys), and $60 aluminum front hubs for the Rock, and it's not even here yet ;) Thanks for the helpful review.
We all know what a big fan you are of your Vorteks. I reckon this beast of a Big Rock might just steal some of your affection. The 3S range have rubbish servos but everything else is virtually bullet proof, particularly once you upgrade the arms to RPMs. I love mine and I’m sure you’re gonna enjoy yours. I was actually thinking of a maxx as my next vehicle but £550 plus £500-£600 in durability upgrades ??? Maybe not.
Yes I truly love the 3s Arrma rigs! They are super awesome bashers! Yeah te Maxx is a very cool truck but it costs a ton to make it like mine. Not to sure if it is worth all that Haha.
It's worth it, if it's making YT money, but no way, otherwise. I just sold my XMaxx, in really good condition, w upgraded servo. Took ~2 months listed on FB to sell it for a $575 loss, and I only had ~$1300 in it, as it sat.@@thunderrc
Currently I am running the GT ultra shocks it comes with, but I am using a heavier oil mixture. Yes I will make a video soon with a list of those upgrades 💯👍
@@thunderrc nice one thanks mate. Yeah I'm running stock shocks currently with 50 front and 60 rear. Also have the Vitavon rear bulkhead, front C-hubs & steering knuckles and traxxas aluminium rear carriers.
on grass it actually goes 53 ish with stock tires yes big beefier tires will help a lot to. i have a 6s conversion in my big rock and can’t wait to find its top speed
Great video! Do you think it's worth paying much more for the Maxx or the big rock is a better idea for somebody who just wants 1 car for every day bashing?
@@thunderrc oh man... I'm continuously changing my mind😅 I was just thinking about a big rock and upgrading it to tank level and, even with that, it would be cheaper than a stock maxx
@@winstonsmith9619 Yeah you could do that for sure but trust me when I say this. The Maxx V2 is way way stronger. No upgrades needed period. Keep it stoked and you will have an absolute tank! 🚀⚡💯
@@thunderrc I've changed my mind like 5 times that and another 3 yesterday hahahaha. I'll probably go for the Maxx as it's bigger, 4s(upgradable to 6s) and, apparently, tougher. It's gonna be my only RC car once I get to sell my HPI Firestorm, so I guess I should go for the bigger, more expensive option 😅
@@winstonsmith9619 Yes the Maxx V2 is absolutely amazing man! Strongest rc ever! Only run it on 4s and keep it all stock 👍. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The truck is bassically bullet proof in stock form and plenty fast.
