Check out Philip jolleys body on his 8s slash doing 168. Personally i think the slash is better having more room for goodies and longer wheelbase for more stability. Good shit though.
1. It doesn't have a longer wheelbase. 2. The body acts as a parachute and sends them flying anywhere above 85. 3. No it isn't. Slash 4x4 platform is ass compared to even the Stampede 4x4. If you want to make a short course vehicle go fast you might as well just buy two, because you're going to obliterate the first as soon as you achieve 100.
How much did the whole set up cost you not including the remote control how much did the whole car cost you to do that 140 mile an hour speed I'm guessing maybe $800 a $1000 how much
Man what is with people thinking it takes all this big motor stuff to do mph. My old rear drive rustler with a castle sidewinder and one 3s will do 0-65 in the matter of 20 parking spots so why do you need all this? And that’s with no gyro lmao. Rpm and gear is all you need for mph. Matter fact it’s still together and I bet a change of gear will easily get it to 120 without trying! Just spend more money and try to buy the knowledge.
I'm trying to beat that with my rustler just gotta gear to the moon and find a long straight road >:) 1250kv spektrum system 160amp esc. X2 4s spektrum battarys
Yea in the video he has a front splitter. At high speeds they are super effective and put downforce on the front preventing it from wanting to wheelie. Its kinda cool tbh.
Just discovered your channel. Just finished all your rustler vids. Umm, holy crap! So impressive! I'm inspired to turn mine into a rocket now. If you had to guess how far away is it when you start, let off the throttle, and when you turn it around? And if ya don't mind how much ya got in it in upgrades? Do you have more speed upgrades in mind??
Idk about worlds fastest my jrsx type R would make you wanna thro your whole pay check in that rustler. But you got got style in your assembly I mean. i like it.
i have a pretty badass rustler... u can hear it echo, in the night... its cool to hear the tires rip loose near top speed... dogs bark from blocks away... lol
What size tires are you using looking for speed run tires for my Arrma granite voltage got short course tires on it now and it goes 45 mph I need more grip
That is insane! What does that feel like to go that fast on a RC? I’m trying to decide between this and the Aarma Vortex. I’m kind of new to Rc so any help is appreciated!
If you want the reliability and parts availability to make proper speed runs more than once, I suggest the Rustler 4x4 over the Vortex. Both are great for bashing but the Rustler and Slash platforms have a decade of engineering over any Arrma. Rustler 4x4 is also a lot more stable at speed.
Do you recommend ruber or foam for speed runs also, can you tell me what tires you use for this and do they fit the Rustler 4X4 VXL without any modifications?
i see you have a Garmin Forerunner 301, which is now discontinued by Garmin. Should i try to find one on ebay? Is there a better or cheaper option? i have the 4X4 Rustler and using my phone i feel is not that accurate and hard to mount on the vehicle.
MadDashRc thanks, I know grp are quite expensive, and I’m fairly new to the hobby, but I have a rustler with a 3300kv motor running 47.5k rpm, what onroad tyres should I buy that are a bit cheaper? I have hardly any money left and need some to hold up with the speed until christmas🤣
@@R53.charlie i think the stock rustler uses 12mm hubs if i remember correctly you would need to do a 17mm conversion to run grps. But tell you what if and when you do that let me know and ill send you some grps.
MadDashRc what? You’d send me some grp’s? Really?!?!?!!!! My problem at the moment is, I ripped the stock alias tyre off of my car, so it’s out of service at the moment😂 the problem is, I’m from the uk, so delivery would cost a lot
What makes you able to achieve those speeds? The gearing obviously but are you running two 4s LiPos in parallel? Very new to RC btw. This was really sick!
