God no, I don't. My dumb ass has broken three of them because Traxxas can't actually engineer new shit to save their life. Proline a real G for giving me another option.
I recently bought the Rustler VXL 4X4 Ultimate and wanted to know it the body used in this video would fit my truck. I know some things have changed in the two year since this video was first posted. Could I still use most or all of these upgrades?
I'm curious 3 months later how you feel bout the extream HD upgrade kit? Did you end up getting the steel drive shafts? Thank you! My son and I enjoy watching your videos.
How about a body that can fit the clipless traxxas inner cage thing. I feel like the rustler 4x4 body with the cage is super sturdy and switching to regular body is a downgrade unless the cage is compatible with it.
I got out of the RC hobby a while a ago because they just kept breaking but if I ever do get back into it I’ll def buy this and put the Chevy body on it
I've been waiting for this mounts to be released, since December. Proline website says "Coming soon" Theres now a video on how to do this with no available parts?

I honestly don't know why everyone has a problem with the round things that are connected to the vehicle and make contact with the ground. The soft, ground contacting part is called the "tire" and the hard plastic bit connecting the car to the tire is called the "rim." When you put them together properly, they make something called the "wheel." Separate? Rim and tire. Together? Wheel. Finally, those body securement caps aren't the best looking. Do you think I could remove the stock body from the attaching framework then use some adhesive to stick it to a new body? I understand that there might be gaps needing to be filled in (a few well placed spacers should do the trick) between the framework and new body and some slicing/cutting/trimming for the body lock to work.
Actually the outer part of the wheel is the rim, put together with the inner part makes a wheel. You add tires to the complete wheel, but you were close.🤷
I’m very confused… got myself a set of the powerstroke shocks. Get them in the mail and the packaging says only for arma 4s… so will they fir on my rustler 4x4 vxl? They’re noticeably bigger but i just want some more ride height and better shocks.
We offer 2 different versions. If the ones you have are for Arrma, then the unfortunately will not fit the Rustler. Here is the link to all of our parts for Rustler including shocks: www.prolineracing.com/search?q=%22PBK-10-st-tra-rustler-4x4%22
Just got the badlands. Everything else is stock. I've had people telling me I'll need to gear down and or get a center differential for those. Is that true? What gearing would you recommend? I'll be driving mostly on grass and gravel/dirt
Would a short course truck body fit with this process as well? Specifically eyeing the proline toyota tundra, would love to fit that on my rustler. Or even if i could get it on an e-revo
I live in Canada and I click the link for the extended body mounts so I can use different body’s and when the website pops up it says the new body mounts are coming soon?? Anybody know when they’ll be out?
I'm loving the body mount adapters glad we don't have to change the shock towers now. I would like to see a Corvette body for the Rustler 4x4 or Subaru WRX body to go over the wheels. It's the same as the Slash 4x4 but few mm shorter. Please guys at Proline I challenge you!👍🏽
I have the same truck it looked good for the first knew minutes sitting on the bench and then my son just destroy it! Proline stuff is good but its prizey!

Hi @Glowingtomato, Yes, some bodies may require extra trimming, but yes they should fit👍🏽. We hope this answers your question, Thanks for your interest and support!
Hi @Andrew Odom, We do offer our Sand Paw LP 2.8" tires for Rustler 2WD and 4x4. 👍🏽 www.prolineracing.com/tires/sand-paw-lp-2.8-sand-tires-mounted-raid.asp We hope this answers your question, Thanks for your interest and support!
Nice body. But the fitment needs a lot of work. Especially the twist caps. They don't sit flat. Thus ultimately cracking the body it that area prematurely.
Lol if you wanted a big rock you could have bought one cheaper. It would be stronger to. Nice build bet the body lasted a week 😜 I always had that issue with my slash. Put loads of time in body none lasted 🤣 All joking aside keep bashing it's the fun of our hobby. Nice video👍
Ps arrma body's thicker last longer . Don't you wish these aftermarket bodies do the same. Or someone build better roll cages for heavy bashing. Been in this game 30 plus yrs one can only hope it happens 😱🤣
The shocks are a very good upgrade, expensive but very strong. I have no problem with stock tyres, run all summer no issues. This looks like a pain in the arse to change a battery compared with the original clipless.
No idea why ditch fast body remove for sake of some other body...if rc sets up. in fire, it's faster to open it that way instead of pulling out pins. Time consuming and useless.
Because the clip system falls off every time you crash and it destroys the body by design, look at the front of any rustler and you will see where it's cracked from having to flex it to get it under the front post. It's the same thing with the Maxx. The clip system does more damage to the body than crashing it does. It also lets you run more than just 1 type of overpriced body.
Mind blown that I can finally get rid of that terrible clipless body mount gimmick!!! I will be purchasing this amd getting rid of the shitty body that always pops off on a hard landing
Totally ruined why yraxxa built the rustler. Any ofther truck but not the rustrler. My best friends cousin designed the rustler back in the 90s so. Little bias but rustler does what the rustler do
