I love the IDEA of the Bandit, and I would like to have one, but compared to literally any other buggy on the market, it's just too outdated of a design. You can pick up used race buggies from TLR or AE from years back that are just entirely better platforms and still manage to find parts for them. I really want to see Traxxas refresh the Bandit with a new updated design somehow. Ditch the axle pins and switch to normal 12mm hexes, adjust the bulkhead angle a bit, standardize the body mounting system a bit more, just a design a refresh is what it really needs.

The pin mount is weird, but really it doesn’t change anything. You can just put 12mm hexes on them, and the rears are already 12mm hexes

As soon as the BL2S Stampede was released I bought one and swapped the VXL out of the Bandit in it. Both are much more enjoyable now. The Bandit with a 2S motor is much less wild. I agree that Traxxas should release the Bandit with the 2S system .

They'll probably do it eventually. I think it's just their slowest selling 2wd so there's probably a few left to clear out of inventory.

It makes allll the sense. It looks scale and it's very cool seeing a boat just casually boating along. I love the sound it makes at low speed too.

Those hardcase batts are to meet spec rules for muboss racing. can also be used in many other applications. Also should have a touch more punch being 35c. I asked them to make more hardpacks, need more people to want them too.

I’m getting a bandit as soon as I can and I’m actually gonna be going the Traxxas Blast next summer so we’ll do a review on that and see how it goes you can upgrade those motors in the blast but because if since wise and somebody like me very first time starting out with boats would be perfect for me.

Taking into consideration you're only increasing the size of the pinion. If you change spur gear for one, have less tooth, I think, will reach 45 or even 50 on the stock system

have you tried putting xmaxx shock shafts in the xrt shock bodies? from what i have seen, it gives some nice ground clearance on the xrt, similar to the xmaxx. i have the shafts to put in, but have not done it yet.

I hade mine with 31/76 with the bl-2s system And it ran great. And the motor never got hot. I’m so bummed they busted out the back window of my car and they stole it :(

Check out brian's rc stuff, he has a Bandit that hit 86mph on 2s. 102mph on 3s & 108mph on 4s, this was with a $40 motor & ZTW esc.

The hard case, is just going to prolong the noticing of the poorly manufactured traxxas battery. I know a dealer here in Maryland that was forced to sell the batteries or he will no longer be a traxxas dealer. He dumped the entire line. Everyone know traxxas batteries and the charger are not good for any RC. Especially that they don't warranty their products. Once you introduce a battery to the system warranty is done/finished. If anyone got a replacement, it was by total luck, or the money they spent. I know this first hand when I purchased the TRX 6. Motor and servo fried in less than a month. Traxxas told me to read the warranty and go kick rocks. Two months later the charger stopped charging, and the batteries swelled. Anything traxxas I buy used, I toss all the electronics into the trash where they belong.

I don't think there is a BL 2s Bandit coming! All their cars are now updated to HD bearing carriers, but only the BL 2s also have the HD arms compared to the brushed models which still have the old arms. Except the Bandit, which is brushed, but has all the HD components like arms and bearing carriers... If they would do a BL2s Bandit, they would have already done it, and the current brushed one would have the old arms ... Thats my theory. Coukd be wrong and they could still make one tomorrow 🤷‍♂️

My Rustler went 54.6 mph traxxas 7600 2s. Vxl. 33-76 gearing. 35 pinion didn’t go any faster

M41 hardly needs self righting its difficult to flip. I had to try to flip mine and it was at least cool to watch crash.

Now I use all kinds of electronics, but I wouldn't say Traxxas Electronics are trash, I have systems that are years old and still work fine ..Maybe not the most power but nobody uses crazy power in RTR stuff!!!
