In this video I test out the most recent upgrades that I have installed on my 1/10th Traxxas Slash 4x4 Vxl Brushless (aka) “ULTIMATE BASHER BUILD”
The upgrades include Traxxas Hoss Center Diff #6780 , Proline Badlands 2.2 SC M2 Compound Tires #10156-01 , Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ulimate and Traxxas Slash 4x4 Platinum GTR Aluminum Shocks #7461 (Front Shocks) and #7462 (Rear Shocks)…This Test got way messier than I had anticipated….it went from an Upgrade Review to an All Out Mud Bath!!

Nicely done sir!!👍👍 mud runs are always a good time during the session. It's the full break down and clean up, re oil/grease everything that's the PITA. Little tip. To cut down on mud under the body. You can take scrap lexan or rubber and make some inner mud flaps. You will need some Shoe goo, heat gun, mesh tape,, and small pieces of lexan scrap. Or if you can find it. Rubber gasket material or rubber roofing material. You can get it in 1mm on up.With the body on turn the tires. Then mark the body behind the tires, where the open area is between body and chassis. Then roughly measure the opening. Cut a pc of what ever material your going to use. If lexan use heat gun to mold it to the area of body. After it cools use Shoe goo and mesh tape. To mount it to the body shell. It won't keep 100% of the mud off the chassis. But it will keep a lot of it out/off the inner part of chassis. Can also make a shield to go around the esc and motor. To cut down on mud and water getting in/on them and in the small vent holes..and then they can be removed if built the right way. And only install while bushing in the mud.. for the motors I found it best to use those tiny plastic cups for the bathroom for brushing teeth. Can use red or any color solo cups. Cut down to block the esc. Sorry for the novel. But figured I would throw out a tip that's help me keep bashing in the fun of mud from time to time. Keep bashing bud have a good day 👍👍👍

Thanks for the tips! Agreed the mud action is fun but the cleanup is a nightmare…..this is probably a rare occasion taking it through mud like this…..once I swap the new power system in I’ll probably avoid this kind of mud and muck lol 😂

took my slash out earlier, lotta fun!! the only upgrades i am running are alumium shock caps and a pair of rpm arms and some how i haven't broken any stock arms yet??!! i think it is because i usually don't just go from 0-100% power straight away. another great video my friend and loving allthe content!!:)

That's sick, ive just discovered this insane dirt bmx tracks in the local nature reserve that I've been bashing at and its huge. The only upgrades I have atm is the rpm bumper and mudflaps, aluminium shock caps and I'm running it on 3s. I've got metal driveshafts on the way and I'm going to get the lcg chassis, heavier oil in the front shocks, badlands tyres and ill keep the stock wheels for on road. After that it should be a beast in the dirt, can't wait.
@RCKnockout
@RCKnockout 2 года назад
Awesome! Yeah you’ll definitely have to beef it up a bit if you plan on regularly running at the bmx track 😎
@thedootslayer7926
@thedootslayer7926 2 года назад
@@RCKnockout oh definitely, already cracked a rim and bent one of the shock towers haha. Im going to beef up the bits that regularly break and keep spares. The ground is quite soft and dusty so it should dampen most falls, better than tarmac at least.
@RCKnockout
@RCKnockout 2 года назад
@@thedootslayer7926 yeah it’s always good to have spare parts! You bent the plastic shock tower? Or broke it?
@thedootslayer7926
@thedootslayer7926 2 года назад
@@RCKnockout its just a little bent and doesn't quite line up correctly, still functions perfectly. When you put the pin in for the body its out by about 15 degrees.
@RCKnockout
@RCKnockout 2 года назад
@@thedootslayer7926 ok so it’s actually the body mount that’s bent not the shock tower?

A head band or chest band and a GoPro should be the next upgrade too. Then you won't have to drive with only one hand.
