Traxxas TRX-4 and Redcat Gen 8 Axe Epic Sunday Afternoon Crawling comparison

Going to my favourite spot to test my rigs' crawling ability at this steep and rocky little hill. I was impressed with the Gen 8 Axe, I really didn't think it would do well but it did and I love it. The TRX-4 Defender(Jeep Rubicon body) did great too but I was expecting more considering it now has a lighter body and new tires. But I'll have to upgrade the TRX-4 with new motor and esc, I'm thinking the Hobbywing Fusion Pro 2300kv and add brass weights to its axle and experiment on different tires and foams.

The Gen 8 Axe is quite great the motor, esc and servo are already top notch having Hobbywing 540 Axe brushless system. The only upgrades I did were the tires, wheels and inserts. Thanks for watching.

Yeah I was so surprised by it. I didn't have high expectations for it knowing that it's heavy. But it did quite well, the firmer pro-line foams helps. I'll go back to that spot abd bring couple other tires set like the Gmade MT-1904 and a modified Canyon Trails tires, I also have a pro-line 2.2 Badlands. See how the tires perform with different rigs.
