You should add a set of shock keys to it they made a big difference in my trx 4 sport I also put the 110 desert lizards in my truck and the club 5 high lift kit what a big difference I have a lot of upgrades on my rig I never realized how much fun it is to see how much changing things is this is my first crawler and I love it
I also put the hobby wing fusion pro in 2300 kv that I watch you do a review on and you sold me on it it absolutely awesome that made a huge difference with my truck it so smooth and how slow it can go when crawling is truly amazing
I would add the Hot Racing aluminum center ladder supports to stiffen up the frame. Make the suspension do the work and not flex the frame. Right where the floor pan meets the fender wells, I put two screws in to tie the floor pan and fenders together and help eliminate some chassis flex as well. Something to try, I like it on mine anyway. Great video's keep'em coming, cheers!
@@RCReviewChannel it's the lateral flex, because we add so much weight on them makes it worse. If you grab the front and rear bumpers and twist it, you'll see it. Just like a real one it twists quite a bit. It's when the suspension articulates and it seems most noticeable, especially when we're adding all that lower weight. Hope I'm explaining in a way that makes sense lol. Again great video's, cheers!
Great video!!!! I just ordered a TRX4 Sport builder kit ....Adding Mamba Mini Crawler ESC with HH revolver 1800 motor ....not sure if traxxas reciever or Futada receiver got both ...can't wait to start.....
I'm looking at using that lift kit as a long travel set up, however no one seems to go into details on it. I want to stay with using 1.9 wheels, but having crazy droop and articulation while looking stock. I've tried using RC 4WD 100mm shocks, but none of there springs tune well no matter what oil you use. They look fantastic, but performance sucks unfortunately. A detailed video on setting up a long travel would be awesome, really love the videos, cheers!
My son and I are trying to decide between the TRX4 kit or the SCX10 kit (UMG10). We’ll probably use a Holmes Trailmaster 550 21 or 27T. Probably going with the Hobbywing 2080 crawler ESC too. Thoughts?
TRX4 Kit for performance. The UMG10 is a looker. Both kits are quite excellent. The UMG10 has an unusually short wheelbase at 11.4" so no other body fits it.
RC Review Thanks man. Your videos are really good. I can always upgrade the body later. Have you had any luck with any of the $40 sets of metal beadlock wheels on Amazon?
Amazon is sold out of the SSD portal covers, I was on their the other day looking,🤔 just letting you know, thats going to be a nice very achievable crawler🖒👌
Oh heck yes!!!!! Ultimate control!!! It's on our modded Gen8 right now but it needs to be here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RlhurrBYdf4.html
I really enjoy your videos! Great information. I was hoping to get some advice, i just finished building a trx 4 kit, I’d say I’m a fairly experienced builder. I used yeah racing axles, Samix hubs, Yeah racing drive shafts, anyway the wheels turn while holding it but when I put it on the ground the wheels won’t turn, so I removed the rear drive shaft then it works fine, I took the rear axle and transmission apart and rebuilt it and still the same...PLEASE! I need help, I can’t find anything online. Thank You!
Sounds like a crazy build. Looking forward to this👍👍 What ESC and motor are you going to use? I'm finishing up my build and would love to hear what you are going to go with.
I was wondering, how do you connect the power supply with the red cable to a non traxxas esc, if you want all the stock lights for this kit? Can't seem to find much info about that anywhere.
RC Review 🤔 I had extra ones from not having the xl5 and there stock electronics they want you to have but I also had screws that were never even used in the kit
I also put an Rc4wd conversation front bumper mount and a tf2 metal bumper and got my deemed out and I cut the little wrap around pieces and it also looks like an throphy truck front bumber and I added integy beadlocks and also different foams
@@RCReviewChannel Looking fwd to building a trx4 sport kit myself, but don't have the budget for an Axe combo. Can you recommend a good brushed motor to start with? Thank you!
