I took my senton for my first run today... a lot of fun. Spinning in the snow was great but had to leave it suspended over the basement sink to drain as it all melted!

That's gonna be my morning commutes getting my kids to school, once the snow starts coming in, so far it's just been a very wet winter (we've had the temps, just not much snow, though the mornings and evenings can get a little treacherous with the water accumulating into puddles).

I was going to suggest getting studs for the tires but several have also suggested this. You can likely find small studs for it. It would be a weapon on the ice...lol

Yes, I do want to stud two of the tires. I need to find best say to do that and I’d like to keep it scale looking if possible.

My friend tried paddles on his Slash and it was no good. On the ice you need studs or soft tires.

@@netcruzer Ya on solid ice like a frozen lake they would be no good but for this I think they would be good, its not completely solid here, ur tires r digging down n then getting stuck, if u had paddles it would scoop u out n forward instead of straight down.

Glad to see the UDR in action! Too bad you had so much ice 😥 I will say that the battery tray is holding me back on the truck. For $680 I want to be able to use the batteries I have and not special or Traxxas batteries 🤣😂

Yeah my SMC 4500 mah 6S hard case does not fit. The 6700 4S Traxxas batteries for Xmaxx also do not fit. I have 6000 mah 4S that will work, and these two 4000mah 3S batteries combined for 6S runs. Not ideal, but it works.

🐸 Nice job on the body reinforcement, look like a lot of fun to run especially with some acreage, was that a frozen river or your driveway you were jumping, just kidding. Wonder how paddle tires would work on the ice, Traxxas should sell studded tires for such an occasion, awesome new RC love the FOX 🦊 body. Cool side doughnut, really cool slow motion ice 🍩s. How is the clear gorrila tape? Does it preform similar to the black tape?

I prefer the clear for doing large areas. It’s way lighter and still very strong. Looks like packing tape but it much stronger than that. There is no mesh in the clear. Black is technically stronger but weighs a lot more. Doing a full body in black is overkill and reduces performance due to added weight.

@@netcruzer awesome, yeah I agree with the weight on the black. I tend to just put it in the main contact/ breakage points but I'll have to try out the clear. Have you tried flex seal at all? Gray from killer off road hobbyz used to run it with great success. Great video my man!
