I just got back into RC trucks, bought a Arrma Typhon, the thing rips, they've come a long way since i last bashed. I'm gonna upgrade to a traxxas soon and start collecting.
That’s a good choice, Arrma is a good company. Traxxas is awesome. I’d recommend to upgrade the bearing carriers and stuff to aluminum. Upgrade things that break often but not like A-arms or driveshafts because that will end up putting all the pressure on the gears instead of having a break point. It’s good to leave some plastic to break.
I really like the old Ford in the background, I was looking at it online a few days ago, its modeled after the truck my dad had when i was a kid. Can't hardly justify the cost though.
I only ever owned cheap rc cars as a kid and traxxas was always the top of the line in my eyes in those times, so now im 23 and fortunate enough to own one of these and I dont regret it one bit 😭😂 its hard to tell people that this “toy” was about 1k all said and done with batteries and charger but as soon as they drive it they understand 🤣 its such a blast and looks so realistic
Cool Brandon will be back. The kits just keep getting better. Can't believe you are coming back with this many vehicles. I don't have it but would not mind trying it out.
Holy smokes, Jeremy with a lower body, How much did you pay for that lower body DLC jeremy? This secret channel is awesome, i remember wanting to get into R/Cs a long ass time ago, but the prices and the maintenance put me off a little bit.
Great video. Great to see you back. I use to watch way back in the early days. Will be great to also see Brandon back. Getting the band back together. 😎😅
I recently got a Slash Ultimate, been loving it so far. Only complaint is how much dirt and debris get retained in the chassis after being kicked up by the fendered wheels.
@Sackmatters I picked one up and it works well. My only concern with it is heat retention, the motor was already running pretty hot by the end of a pack to begin with.
@@cabsbassif you are running into heat issues buy yourself a fan for your motor. Either a very strong single fan or a double. Most of the mesh screen breathe extremely good and will hold up to most anything. Another help / solution is make a few small holes in your window. I’d suggest 8 to 10 1/4” holes. Keep in mind you will want to do some minor body reinforcing behind the holes, id suggest mesh tape or ducting tape.
Rustler is awesome car, I think the slash is the best $ for $ everyday playing around car there is. You can upgrade it to the max and run 6s. They drive great and are so much fun at skate parks and stuff.
(10:18) Metal Gear Servo - a weapon to surpass Metal Gear? I don't know anything about RC cars, but this is pretty cool! Nice palate cleanser from the daily shitstorm of insanity in the news lol.
Ha! I have the same craftsman shelves for my trucks. UDR is definitely the one Traxxas that seems worth the cost. That thing is beautiful. Baja Rey is bigger and better, in my eyes, but can't go wrong with either.
Had mine for a few weeks now rip anytime I get I love it for it down a few times and had to rebuild a shock but than that I can’t complain love my first purchase into the rc world
Nitro is a lot of fun to the right people. There’s a lot more to nitro, like tuning and maintaining a nitro engine, obviously a lot louder (and annoying to neighbors), and kind of messy (exhaust has oil, oil attracts dirt). Electric is a lot easier to maintain and run. Lipo batteries typically have higher output/faster, and will pretty much run at peak-ish output before dropping off when dead, but are a little more temperamental when it comes to charging and environmental temps and can be “”dangerous”” if you don’t know how to charge/maintain them properly. Nicd or nihm batteries are pretty indestructible (good for kids), but aren’t as high output/fast and performance slowly decreases as they die.
Hey Jeremy, long time viewer of the quartering and massively involved in Rc cars for over 25 years. Anyways, you run any nitros? If not, I highly recommend the Tmaxx 3.3.
I was just looking at them but all I could think about was does it perform better then the Mojave 4s probably not. I’d say Mojave 6s but I already have one & I love it But I hear the UDR has issues but they kind of all do just like Arrma RC’s have curtain bad things so does the UDR but based on looks alone I’d rather have the UDR over the Maxx Slash.
Oh looky here he is standing! 😮😮😮 Showing off expensive adult Toys. I have a video 16 years old of the first dual brushless E Maxx before Traxxas sold and made them. Video and dates do not lie and they copied my creation and sold it as their own. So screw Traxxas. They are start up junk at The best bet would be an Italian made R/C car basher but it won't be cheap.
I see on the side of the box that this is for age 50 and over. I'm 56 obviously you're too young. Please send me the truck and I'll take good care of it. Thank you.
