Things that'll break quickly 1 the plastic wheel hexs 2 rear upper and lower 4 link arms 3 front and rear driveshafts 4 wheel pins. I've upgraded mine with almost everything from GPM (its all red aluminum now)
I've had mine for about a year now and the only thing I've had to do was screw down the adjust collar on the rear shocks to help compress the springs. I'm not a basher. R/c cars in this price range are an investment to me so I keep my driving habits to scale.

Ya I have one its fun but it does break alot! It takes way to much $ to make it legit the its still not all that! Everyone says its not a basher, well neither am I! You have to drive it s scale?!!! Mine sits on the shelf broke! My ex Mojave puts my udr to shame!!! Its had its issues as well but not even a 1/3 of what my UDR has!! 2 different machines I guess. Mojave just holds up way better even when I want to get dumb with it!!! Lol
This is one of my favorite RC‘s from Traxxas. With some of the most realistic driving I’ve ever had on an RC. By the way this is the donut King 👑 you’re gonna love this thing👍🏻
I have been waiting for this video since the video that you mentioned it! I got the SBR 2.0 for getting really good on all my assignments!! Yessssss. This on my Christmas list! Also, I am super disappointed. I wanted to get the coffee from Tony’s coffee for my parents, but my mom had to pay some and she said it was too expensive. 😩😩 Even with your coupon code! Really sucks because I wanted to get them it SOOO bad!
I got one about four months ago and it’s durability sucks. It is a super fun truck to drive full speed in the desert though. Can’t wait to see your build.
My revo 2.5 with 3.3 is having issues I haven’t even gotten to break in new engine. The 2060 servo was brand new from traxxas and it’s just making a humming sound and gets warm so I turn it off. I just got back from the rc shop and they told me to replace the broken gears so I did and it’s still just making the noise. Is the servo just bad now? I was trying to get the new spectrum STX3 set up 3 channel set to 2 position and it won’t work now. Won’t shift forward/reverse.

I've had mine for a year now and love it. I have 2.5 acres that's not real flat. Watching the shocks do their job is just like watching the real desert truck's.
@@servicevan1186 oh if money isn't a concern than probably the udr. It's very scale and pretty big. The Slash can take a more of a beating and is more nimble due to the size. Or better yet, why not both?
Locked diff and good control? Nah!! Good call on the upgrade. Why lock a diff on a basher? I mean with the suspension travel was Traxxas going for a crawler / basher hybrid? Maybe, but good god that blew my mind that that model came with a locked diff.

I know you have the place to run it, and your no newbie to rigs of this size, but I am telling ya.. it needs the room to stretch its legs. I really enjoy running mine, a few suspension upgrades and additional detailing, re-appropriated the ess from a Slash. To keep the dirt out of the transmission and axles I tore them down and put a liberal amount of marine grease between the mating surfaces, checked after a couple of runs and it's working. You and family have a great Christmas, of what you can do.

First off love the vids, but I must say I have a fox udr and also a arrma Mojave, and as far as handling and durability there is no comparison, the Mojave blows it away. It wants to buck and rolls not stop.If you hit a big jump get ready to reach for your wallets cause it's very fragile.
Got my first one the day it was released only broke 2 parts. The first was front upper a arm the second was the rear housing both from hard bashing and yes the hubs will strip out.
First of all Happy Holiday's to You and your Family and congratulations on your new purchase. Both my younger brothers own the Red UDR and have a blast racing and bashing this truck. So what did I do went out yesterday and bought the Blue body Traxxas version only because you don't see these that often but that Fox body sure is sharp too. You definitely played it smart and got the necessary upgrades from the start especially if you're hard on your vehicles. Hope you don't mind me asking if you bought this from your local hobby shop or directly from Traxxas and did you save any amount of money on this. Oh well enjoy your new ride and I as well.
A good upgrade for the differentials is Part number 8581x “metal diff housing for front and center but also works for the rear diff. The plastic housing explodes under heavy bashing ! Have fun brother.
The window nets should match up with the holes in the roll cage. The trailing arms are a must if you use 6s lipo. And the open diffs too. And your going to want to reinforce the body underneath, over the rear tires with gorilla tape. And MAKE sure the body screws are tight they do come loose.
