Traxxas sells some of washers that you put between the motor mount and the chassis. I used those plus an aluminum motor mount for the stock motor. After that, I didn't have issues with the motor shifting.
First thing i did before i ran mine was installing a -Tekno RC M5 Pinion Gear 22t MOD1 5mm bore M5 set screw TKR4182. Cus i heard about the pinion. Been pretty solid , great video Chef😉👍🏽💯
This is ALSO what happens when people run cheap battery packs! Spend a thou. on the RC but not want to spend the money on quality packs.... straight up asinine!
Puhhh, I am glad that the truck was saved 💪 Soft case LiPos suck and yes, always with the backend to the side with the expected harder impacts. On a Skate park it could be the other way round. ... EPIC Bash location 👍
Crazy bash session bro! Glad you were able to save the truck! Hope you didn’t hurt yourself! Little tip, on my Maxx v2 the battery tray was hitting my wires so I took a flat tip soldering iron and melted a little notch in it. Now the wires are free and the battery sits flush in the tray.
I am running the hardpack, 8000 maH 4s Zeee lipos on my truck. The hardpacks don't fit well too tight. I put five (5) 0.5mm washers under the battery lock things ( just one bolt to take off under chasis so it's super ez to do) and the batteries don't slide around because the fitment is already pretty tight. I have a feeling you have some small m3 or whatever the size is washers lying around... if u get the hardpacks, u can add or remove washers to make it more or less tight, the battery won't slide around on my rig. Food for thought, Nice vid!
“What’s one tooth ya know” The second I heard that I was like “ugh” cause I knew what was gonna happen very soon. Sweet the xrt was ok because loosing it would of probably hurt more than your leg. Although I pulled my groin one time & that thing took forever to heal…..lmao Good luck, great video.
@@Terry-qm4us i have a hot racing spur and for the pinion i found a pack of multiple tooth counts in a set in hardened steel online not sure who makes them
you need to always carry a multi tool on you at all times you could of cut & yank off the battery with this tool with out touching it with your bare hands..
Sounds like you're leads were improperly soldered on, resulting in the "hard-wire" effect and the degradation of integrity of the jackets. Again a symptom of cheaply assembled Chinese packs. You brought the xrt, treat yourself to some American assembled packs that won't catch fire. Either way, happy bashing!
@@kristophersurbrook4001 the connector was fine the wires legit got cut lol I know what you're saying but they were in a pinch point and legit got cut in 2
