I swear I watched this video already. I might be losing my mind. Or I can see into the future and people will pay me for my services. Not sure. Good job man!
Earl thank you for making you two a good place to wash your video man I appreciate the time you think and doing RC repair and showing us how you fix your RCS now knowing how you fix them how you clean them and how you do things and a lot of these other RU-vid channels don't show a lot of things as you do world only other person is guys garage thank you both for keeping you to a good place to watch RC videos thank you💯👍🙏
First, thanks so much for all the helpful, insightful RC videos! I'm new to RC, just got an XRT a few weeks ago. Very quickly broke both bulkheads. I followed your video for reinforcing the rear bulkhead, really like how that turned out. However, I went a little different route on the front one to try to do less plastic cutting and still avoid the cost of going aluminum. I just posted a short video trying to show my thoughts. I know it probably won't be as strong of a brace as what you did, but hopefully the reduced plastic cutting will be worth it. If you have a minute to check it out I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks again!
Were you able to trim off just a little of the support? Do you have enough material for the support to be fastened? If not, like you mentioned, it's a weak point and will break. I installed a 7720 before I saw your video of the correct part (7720x). Anyway I ran it with the 7720, leaving those 2 screws out for the support into the bulkhead. 1 run and the truck broke in half, exactly at that point. Proved to me that those 2 screws really help!
I’m going to fit a strap in that channel by trimming all points so the strap sits flush on the plastic. Should work without trimming anything else, and I’ll just use longer screws from the other strap to reach the new strap.
@@earlmoorhead5555 thank you for your reply, my upper bulk head is fine but iv just ordered a spare so I can modify that rather than the original then keep that as a spare
If I were to do this to my stock XRT, would I need two of the 7726 kits? I'm only seeing 1 upper tie bar, instead of the two that you have in the video. Thanks in advance for any help.
Hopefully that's it Earl.... Liked the close up pics at the end bud. Gee how many times...... I was also surprised on the car blowing another tyre even after glueing and sorting the middle diff. Must be one of those things.
I look at down time when it breaks & how much it cost to fix also how many changes I need to make for my style of running the rc car will it handle the areas I run without breaking all the time 👍
Why not just sacrifice alittle added weight where its needed for strength and put the vitavon bulk heads on. You wouldn't have to mutilate all the other parts
