Good fix. Traxxas should be doing that from the beginning. They had to know it would break without the tie bar on the backside. Hopefully those arms are still strong enough after trimming them down. I suspect it will be fine. Traxxas plastic is the best around. Good video man 👍👍
That was definitely an easy fix looking forward to seeing how it works my only concern is the a arms with trimming off some material. Hopefully Traxxas sees this and makes some changes in the future
@@earlmoorhead5555 Thanks for this video it was either this or try the vitavon part $$ I followed every step but shaving arms they have flex so I just stretch them in an they fit in tight hopefully they hold up still appreciate it 2x
Love that ! I've ordered the stuff , I've seen several people having that breakage , I'm not running my XRT yet , we're buried in winter right now , so I'm doing all the mods that come out , thanks for the info , awesome stuff , I was wondering about trimming the tie bar instead of the arm , save the strength in the arm maybe , great stuff , thanks again !!
Great helpful video thanks will be doing this for sure before I break my new ones but like anything they don’t do this so you keep buying parts that’s we’re they keep making money
So I noticed those look like harbor freight drill bits of so they have improved them. I watch ur stuff, rc garage, and nitro gang.great content. From all of y'all
So we need to order 2 sets to do the front and back and use the stock screws? I also ordered the compete kit from them with the threaded pin upgrade for all the hinges
Just did this mod. I shaved a small amount off my arms, didn't want to remove anymore so had to EVER so slightly force em on with some flex, hoping it's not enough to matter
@@jaredchampagne2752 I did a cheap mod that works perfectly now just added another strap to the bulkhead upper I try and keep cost down on my bashers as the aftermarket parts are great looking but cost is definitely reflected on it 💯plus 10 years from now will these companies still be around? The biggest issue I have with my summit the companies making the diff cups and the two speed parts are gone and I can’t turn my new summit into a 6s rc anymore and if I break my old one I can’t repair it 🤷🏻♂️make you think 🤔 let’s find a simple fix 👍✅
I got sick of replacing the bulkheads after every jump, I highly recommend people just buy the vivaton Aluminium ones if you like the bash. They are pricey, but 100% worth the money, and ultra durable.
Bro! Killer mod Earl! However, please put that bulkhead in a vise when using that dremel and when drilling it. Just for setting an example for the safest way to attempt this mod:)
As I shake off my hall monitor possession, and return to the land of the XRT, anyone break any of these rims? I landed a bit sideways, high speed, and tore the inside of the rim out…
There junk I show this fix for way cheaper I expect people to watch and learn buying expensive parts don’t make a good rc but a fix on what is produced is more important
I don't think he's crying about any part Earl pays for everything out of his own pocket and does it to help others by taking time out of his day to do so he puts in the work so that says alot about the man! No need to be like that with a man who bust his ass trying to help🤷
