TRE-TV REACTS TO - Rawayana: Tiny Desk Concert 

Thanks guys, you made my day 🙌🏼 I am the trombone player of the band 🎵🎺

I am a substitute teacher that was thrown into the music room this year. I decided to focus on hispanic heritage month, and found these guys searching for content. I now start every single class to this tiny desk concert! I welcome all my classes in and tell them not to sit, grab a drum, shaker, or maracas and move! Now when I'm walking through the hallways I hear girls singing wa,ah,ay!!!! I love it! I'm not from around here, and it is a totally new sound for these kids.

Latin American music is well represented right there. Bringing Apache to the desk was huge. Mad respect from 🇵🇷

Aside from Rawayana, whose music you've just got a glimpse of, you should eventually react to two other artists that participated in this tiny desk concert. The first is of course, Apache. One of Venezuela's most prominent rappers, has been rapping since the late 90's, though he kicked off his career in the early 2000's with the rap group "Cuarto Poder". The other one is Irepelusa, the girl with the glasses and blue hair. She's one of a kind, makes some great pop/funk music. Our country has been struggling for years, oppressed by the government and punished by the economic situation, but there are a lot of artists that have been able to go above and beyond all the struggle. Many are now out of the country, but they still represent us with a ton of pride.

Fucking A guys. Rawayana is on the vanguard of the caribbean new band sound. Instrumentally their previous albums are impeccable, all of these albums are very different, they can go to youth partying themes to tropical music to even a hardcore critique on the current venezuelan dictatorship all these while sounding SMOOTH AF. I highly recommend their cover of Stardust song Music Sounds Better With you, its music that clears your senses

The message he leaves in his songs goes beyond simple rap songs; he tells real stories, he tells how he saw the world through his eyes, depicting the harshest reality of the streets.
