14:08 when he says "...Emcees that wreak havoc on tape decks, ADATs..." thats like old school cassette tape recordings and ADAT is transferring it to digital. Alesis Digital Audio Tape... then he goes off to name Emcees that started on tape decks. Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Andre 3000, Masta Ace.
@@crook8468 yes that’s also a reason but he was still attending long after 50 didn’t win. Watch interview w/ Sway. He gives a long list of valid reasons
If you go back to how Joyner started "Get out the way, I'm hungry, my turn to eat" Em started the opposite "I've been eating long enough etc" almost every Feature Em is on, he legit tries to raise the levels of shine to it by sticking to Joyner's Context... Let's be real... Em goes Last... That's a HipHop rule... The King of the track goes last... but he's humble af starting his verse on the subject Joyner was on... That's real respect.
Joyner Came Out Swinging on this one but we all know Eminem the goat annihilated it it's just what he does 50 year old still killing it they definitely go great together would love to see some more between the two of them great energy and reaction see you on the next day
The L Em says he took sold 3 million when it came out and everyone trashed it in the media, 3 mil considered an L when most artists cant sell a mil. That album has since hit around 7 mil copies and its because the "haters" have started to actually listen to it 😂
@@tretvfrmdabx2544 appreciate the response, been watching the channel for a few days now going down the rabbit hole. If I could make a suggestion besides Detroit vs everybody, I'd suggest doing a segment or day of the week dedicated to diss tracks. Everyone seems to love them as much as I do when they are good 😂 Stay blessed 👊🏼
That point you made about music today is why me even though I'm 16 I look back in the past and eat it all up then make songs that have the soul and stories but are platinum level songs. Not the trashy storyless music from today.
Eminem is my favorite rapper of all time, and there isn’t even a close 2nd for me. Joyner is my favorite current rapper in the game right up there with Cole.
Yo fellas I’m loving the channel and all your opinions. I’ll just say this. Em does what Em does it’s a collab but after the track ends you forget who was on the track with Em. And the only time I can truthfully say that didn’t happen was the track with Weezy. “Drop the World”Weezy did his usual and keep up! So it ended up being a great song!
It made me think of what Pac said about MC Hammer, "He did sale 10 million records, cr**kfiends bought 10 million rocks that don't mean cr**k is good."😂
I love y’all’s channel it a refreshing change totally chill no drama ❤ the dude in the hoodie looks like my old partner in crime yo the loudest man in the room is the biggest clown
I’m watching this on my TV, right? And you mentioned how it’s been roughly 2 decades. I’m 32. Snuck the Marshall Mathers LP in. Got it taken away, but searched for it and found it 😂 I grew up to a wide variety of music…any& everything BUT hip hop or rap. Found it on my own. Instantly became one half of my two favorite genres. Even tho this is waaaay more new and didn’t exist (I’m a very early ‘91 baby lol), just it, again, this makes me feel like a kid. Also, yall from NY?
Great reaction... the first time I listened to this, I was like " Joyner can spit". But after that, when I want to listen to the song I always go to to the Eminem verse... Sorry but let's keep it real;)
He said to save Rap we need 3stacks (Andre 3000), and bring back Grap etc" He's shouting out OG's of the game during the "Bap bap" scheme. I love when he's just mumbling "tha mutha fu rap abou nuthin, cant stick to a topic etc" While riding that flow sticking to cadence? Man Joyner sounded pure Ice Cold, and Em came in and starts Bending schemes, making his voice the beat/percussion... Its nuts. 51 years old... Still in it. He's gotta challenge the Mumble Rap man... I mean those Hitters that have that vibe is cool... but Every damn song? Na...
on this part he paid homage to Kool G rap, Big Daddy Kane and Masta Ace. "where the G Raps and Kanes at? We need 3 Stacks ASAP, and bring Masta Ace back" Eminem did copy a lot of flow from Masta Ace tho.
As he said "you don't care about the people that came before you" React to Ak- Family Tree and you will see there how much he care about people before him
(TRE’ & LAMAR) THANKS❤FOR ANOTHER GREAT REACTION!!!WILL YALL PLEASE DO A REACTION VIDEO TO: MASTER P: “MISS MY HOMIES”OR ”MAKE EM’ SAY UGH”? IT’S 90’S HIP-HOP & MASTER P IS ONE OF THE G.O.A.T.S! LOVE♥️YALL BOTH!!!
This album dropped back in 2018 when mumble rap was at its peak, Lil Pump and SixNine were the biggest rappers in the world through 2017 before this dropped, that's why he talks about mumbling and lyrics with no rhyme or reason to them... Anyway, that's why he keeps talking about the state of rap music in the songs on this album.
The unclear part......is Eminem shouting out the legends of our (I am 45 and he is 50) time, before he blew.... Way back, MC's that wreak havoc on tape decks ADATs, where the G Raps and Kanes at? We need 3 Stacks ASAP, and bring Masta Ace back Because half of these rappers have brain damage That is the missing element, as you guys eluded to. When my folks like Snoop, Busta, Dre, Em, etc speak, they always shout the masters out. They always salivated at having one of them on a feature with them. New folks are throwing the entire foundation of this genre, just because they deemed them as old and useless. Welcome to the new generation.
How to know when your famous…….When your album is platinum in seven countries and gold in five, and that’s considered taking an L. Lol Joyner is nice too. Along with the obvious solo work, “Isis” with Logic is another track, featuring someone else thats 🔥
