I try something very similar sometimes, but they seem to keep their farside arm protected by getting that elbow as close as they can to their ribs and/orgrabbing their own collar...Any suggestions?
LeeAnn, you are absolutely right. That is the weak link in this move. Since we are trapping the opponents left arm, they will usually have their left hand/forearm framing under our throat. After grabbing the lapel under their armpit and before lifting them and putting my right leg under their back, I will sometimes first take my right hand and grab their left wrist, between their wrist and my throat, and extend it towards their left so that I can trap it with my legs. I didn't show that in this video. I will make another video this week to include that. Thank you for your input.
