Thank you Westward thats very kind of you. The video was previously hosted by someone else but then got deleted so thats why so few comments I think. But thank you for your kind words - always appreciated. To my knowledge we are just waiting for a few FX shots to be completed in CA. Will update as soon as there is news :)
I want to see it too, but a simple, "Please release it," is never going to get it released. This intro alone had to take ages to finish shooting, let alone editing.
correct me if I'm wrong but is the character "Magnus" Magnus voller from indiana jones and the staff of kings. looks like similar clothing in the opening scene
I know I’m looking at this 5 years later but like at 7:18 that’s pretty brutal and even though Indy has a loose sense of morality, that’s still dark for him, other wise the film looks great.
No, not really. Most of the time, Indy has a gun at his fingertips, but if he doesn't, he'll find something else. Hell, he actually almost did this before. In Temple of Doom, when he was fighting the big Thuggee on the conveyor belt, Indy picked up a pickaxe, and was about to go in for the kill when the Maharajah stabbed the voodoo doll. It's not that this is dark even for Indy. It's just that he's never really had an opportunity to do anything like that. But, if he did, he wouldn't hesitate to go through with it.
This is about 100,000 times better than Kingdom of the Crappy Plastic Skull!!!! Awesome. A film by the fans for the fans.....by the fans.... :D MORE PLEASE!!!! Much love, a new fan!
Nice job. Good action sequences. Other than the glaring continuity issue with the hat outside and then inside the grave at the beginning, I imagine too expensive to re-shoot and it’s not a dealbreaker :-) very enjoyable overall!
This is actually really impressive. I can only imagine how much time effort and cash went into this. It really does feel like part of the Raiders universe. What part of Victorville was this shot? It looks great.
That was a temp score - The movie is getting close to completion. We have a full orchestrated original score by George Shaw. It is very much like John Williams IJ scores - I hope you will be pleased.
11 years later and I am finding this GREAT fan production! The website in the description for the full fanfilm is down and I haven't found it posted anywhere. What happened to the rest of this fanfilm? Anyways fantastic job! Most original and well executed fan production I've ever seen for Indiana Jones! It really seemed to capture the 'Adventures of Young Indiana Jones' feeling. Well done.
One of the better fan films out there. Acting and blocking are decent. I have to say though, the whole beginning is hard to swallow. Why would the bad guys bury him alive instead of just killing him first? Why did they bury him above ground? Why did they take the time to mark his grave? Obviously, Indy would escape that with minimal effort. Just kind of a dumb beginning with major logic problems.
This was really really impressive. Would have been much better with out the bad music and instead with the John Williams score. Also, I cringed at the "I'm not a girl" line. But I really really liked the Belloq impression when he screamed "JOOOONNES!" and when all the guys were shooting at him.
10:33 Indy suddenly just punching a woman out of nowhere was surprising and gave me a laugh. It's not like Indy to do that, which made it more funny. The only other time he punched a woman was in Temple of Doom when he was poisoned and accidentally punched a waitress. Good fan film! (No, not because he punched a woman XD)
I am almost done with the FX and most of the music is complete. We are have a 5.1 surround sound mix done too. No REAL date yet but we are working on this. HUGE undertaking in our free time.
Hopefully the not too distant future - as always its SFX shots that are taking the time from what I hear from the post production team. On the bright side part 2 will be the rest of the movie!
