This video shows Anat Baniel working with, Jonathan, a 21 month old boy diagnosed with autism, and his mother's testimonial following 2 weeks of lessons in the Anat Baniel Method with 2 other practitioners, Sylvia Shoredike and Neil Sharp. You see footage from the first session which lasted 30 minutes in total.
In Anat's words: "In addition to making no eye contact, he was not speaking nor did he respond to his name. He had difficulty eating and refused most foods, and when people were around he tried to hide under furniture. Sitting in his father's lap he repeatedly arched his back and threw his head back as if his brain was stuck on an automatic loop unable to do anything else. I saw in front of me a brain that was having great difficulty making sense of all the input and stimulation coming in.
I began very gently and slowly to move Jonathan's pelvis and back. In the beginning he didn't seem to even notice himself or me. By the time I lifted one of his legs, a few minutes later, and very gently and slowly moved his foot, all of the sudden Jonathan became very still and began staring at his own foot, then straight at me, then back at his foot as if feeling it and seeing it for the very first time in his life! Jonathan was coming home to himself. As 'small' a change as it may seem, this was a moment of transformation for Jonathan and the way his brain was working. After this first session Jonathan's parents reported significant changes in his behavior. After two weeks of sessions he was eating much better, beginning to talk, interacting and playing with his brother and eventually other kids."
After the mother's testimonial you see a short clip of Jonathan working with Anat 6 weeks later in a professional training program for Anat Baniel Method NeuroMovement Practitioners.
It should be noted that not all changes are a dramatic as this. Every child is different; however, it demonstrates the potential of using the 9 Essentials of Anat Baniel Method NeuroMovement based in the science of brain plasticity in brain development in children whether with special needs or not.. The principles are outlined for parents, caregivers and therapists in Anat Baniel's book, Kids Beyond Limits:

This is so beautiful and I knew it would be. I have seen an experience some of the work. I only pray that our doctors become aware and use this therapy. Thank you Anot and a big hello to Michelle Vine my hero.

Prime example how 'therapists' put the wishes of parents and caregivers over the well-being of autistic children. Forcing autistic children to make eye contact has no other use than make parents feel better. It does not make a child less autistic. It will teach them to mask their autism which is the main cause of the high suicide rate among autistic adults. Also, the child is much too young for a reliable autism diagnosis.

I disagree. The child feels better when they can live a more normal life, add confidence, communicate their feelings and needs. Therapy never makes a child less autistic. It just helps them cope better and suffer less.

@@yb123 being forced to make eye contact is very confrontational for the Neurodiverse who process information differently we can learn to do things without being forced.

Pardon me…..from your comment it seems you are disappointed in this little boys progress…. Putting the wishes of the parents over the well being of the child?? …. We have a severely autistic grandson of 11 unable to speak or feed himself …. He is dearly beloved but his disabilities cause us much heartache and sorrow….Believe me this therapist has this child’s well being as her priority.

This is 100% child abuse not to mention cruel

If a child was in a car accident and needed physical therapy to be able to walk again. Would call the physical therapy "child abuse" as well? It's helping the child for the rest of their lives. Not giving it to them because it will hurt for a little while is the real child abuse.
