Great work as always Reg…. The roof of the Community Hall and the parking lot will rest easier now. Incredible amount of light in the area afterwards. We hope to repurpose the cedars into split rail for the surrounding recreation area and mill some heavy duty benches out of the fir …. Cheers
There’s a lot to learn from each of these videos. The care and attention, the precision, all contribute to how safe you make this look. Great work Reg!
I have no knowledge of your chosen profession and the difficulties it entails (I’m a carpenter in the uk) but I do know when I see a top quality tradesmen. Well done 👍🏻
I never seen a faller have to stand on a deck to put the face, undercut and back cut in the tree. That was niffy work sir. That fir was very close to the railings. I'm sure it want very comfortable to high stump it. Watching your channel for years. I appreciate your professionalism and attention to detail.
yes i am a mere padwan learner from jedi master reg. through his great teachings i myself have used the force on this big oak the other month: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Oa9CfiGPdmc.html
G'day Reg, it would be nice just to know enough about climbing to be able to tie a line, I don't like getting in the bucket. Let's get Reg to 50K subs before the end of the year 👍🇦🇺.
That was pretty scary on that second one, nice the way you handled it. That spruce or whatever it was at the end man, I expected that to rock the ground when it hit but it set down really soft.
Love this video. Excellent work. I'm not a pro cutter. Ole farmer here who battles Hurricane damage in Pecan orchards on my farm removals. I'm still smiling about your measuring stick?? Please tell me how to measure tree height and info on tree stick? Camera in excellent spot, i called spot on-lol . Been watching and liking your videos for couple years now.
Arborist/author Jeff Jepson covers use of the "stick trick" in detail, with pix, starting p.42 of "To Fell A Tree", and p.86 of "Groundie." Been amazed by Reg. for many years too.
I've seen the "roof" of face cuts being done flat on big trees and the underside angled, how are they beneficial over angled roofs? Thank you for the content!
Great video Reg! I was wondering the other day I spurred up a loblolly pine and didn't have any problems limbing it. Then I went to top it a few days later and it had rained. My spurs kept slipping out. My question is: Are wet trees harder to spur than dry trees?
Do you have anything in your contracts about hitting metal while cutting? Cost of chains falls onto the customer? Did a clump ash job ten years ago and went through 10 chains.
I the 500 probably cuts faster, but we will have to see how each saw lasts over the duration. I'm actually really happy with the 572, especially since it's now well worn in
@@Recoates i am a bit disappointed with the 500i cause of the hard trees we have here.it can't be strong as an 80cc saw. Hellenic forests are rocky so the wood is harder than north countries as Germany
@@sttsok well that's interesting to hear. I've never actually used one, and the 572 cost considerably less. The 572 is certainly more powerful than its predecessor the 372. I would still like to get it ported at some point for the extra power gains, but is plenty powerful enough to run that 32" bar as is, so I certainly don't feel pressured to get it done.
Because I’m young an energetic, I’d of just climbed it and been safe about it! Not saying i couldn’t of copied this i just don’t wanna crush a persons house because I’m an amateur. Obviously this cutie is far from amateur 🤣💯🤘🏼❤️✅🌲
