I heat with hard woods in Michigan have a ported 362 with a batk box and 3/4 wrap bar pulls a 25 full comp chain no problem but would like to step up to something that will pull 36" in our oak, hickory, and ash
Everyone loves August. I would suggest keeping a diary, even just for business purposes, in my trade we were taught to keep daily notes. Mainly for CYA incase things didn't go as planned... and later use them for a textbook/ biography.

I always like watching other cutters working I cut a lot of hard woods and they act differently than soft wood we have soft wood but they are more uncommon

Jake, what was the purpose behind the pair of intentionally cut dutchman’s. It was used in the face cut on one of the last trees in the video. I haven’t seen that before.
I love how Jake is humble and open to suggestions. Was definitely a good idea opening up his face cut. Let that hinge puppy work and control the tree, especially on a back leaner 🤘 The 500i is my favorite saw in my arsenal also, closely followed by the husky 550xp. Should of ties the tops together and dropped them together like dominos. Listening to august talk about tree stories. That he dropped. Sounds like my gpas stories. I had a dangerous ash. That was maybe 50 foot leaning the direction . i wanted going down a path towards my truck. My trucks maybe 1/3 farther away, maybe a bit more. The tree fell and hit a branch and the top blows out and cartwheels all the way to the truck. And walks right into my truck bed. I was maybe 1/16 of a inch to close and blowd out my truck window. I was on the phone with my insurance claims adjuster, for almost 2 hours trying explain it. She was dying laughing, never heard such a fluke. I had some really poor vid and pics of it. But that was a awesome tree
I prefer the sequoia but the agility is very nice too. The sequoia is lighter but the agility has more padding. I think the agility would be a lot better with suspenders
