Looks great. I have made a bunch of them similar to yours. Mine are oval with a hanger at the top. I shape mine differently and sand differently. I do like the router you did on the edge. Most of mine are on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, and a lot of them go as gifts. The largest I made was a 2 foot x 3 foot out of cedar painted exterior gloss black as it was going to hang on their front porch. I also have a couple videos on them.
My tatty old workshop door has a new look with a very nice window made from the top of an old dressing table found in a skip. Thanks for the inspiration and the demonstration looking forward to exploring your channel further.
@@erickchapman2123 I just googled ‘tree of life template vector ’ I was trying to find one I liked and came across that one, may have been of shutterstock.
Thanks James I'm happy with the end result, I've only used pine and fencing wood on previous projects, the oaks really nice,I got given two 7ft tables for free, I love free wood..🤣👍
A bit of machine wax on your scroll saw table should help with moving the wood ..even put a bit on the back of the wood as well .. Burning the names on with a pyrography machine would make the letters stand out good .
It definitely needs something for the next time🤣,I've looked at those pyrography machines ,it's got my interest, some fantastic artist using them, another toy on my list..🤣👍
@@fishtank5050 Ive sent you a link to the 1 I bought ..very easy to use ..Easy to change nibs as well ..ive done loads of stuff with it ..I use graphite paper to transfer images then burn away ..very easy to get into and countless images on the net to do ..burns plywood and pine no bother although the pine you need to do a bit of sanding first before you do image ..I bought one of those cheap scorchmarker pens to try but they were pretty useless so bought Ammonium chloride and made my own solution and that worked pretty good although you need to have stencils made to do it
@@ianm398 thanks Ian I've purchased a cheap thing for now the one with the wires in the end, just to see how I go..I've watched loads of videos, some fantastic artist using them .carbon paper and trace works for me..😁👍
Lovely. Beautifully made. I'd like to try making one myself. Where did you get the drawing of the tree from? Is there a pdf perhaps? Thanks for sharing.
Hi mate I do like what you have done and I keep looking at having a go at it but because I'm a new scroller i don't think that I'm confident enough. How long did it take to get it done many thanks Keith
Thanks keith I'm more a router then a scroller but I'll give it a go 👍time wise it's hard to say, I'll do an hour one day and maybe an hour+ on another day.ive never timed myself and just enjoy the hobby..😁👍
@@fishtank5050 I'll have to pluck up the courage and have a go because it looks really good. Thanks for the video, I'll keep looking at it as i go along. Once I've found a good piece of wood I'll take pictures and let you know how it goes thanks again 👍👏
