Tree of the Week: Eastern Hemlock 

Eastern hemlock is a long-lived conifer that offers valuable shade and shelter to wildlife and is used in landscapes for its versatility and beauty. Unfortunately, it is under attack by the hemlock woolly adelgid- an Asian sap-feeding insect that was accidentally introduced.
