I really like your tutorial you are an excellent teacher I watched tutor make this tree pattern couldn't never grasp it until I watch your class yesterday you make it easy I already make 3 blocks on my own f love them thank you ....
After watching your tree block if you want to sew again. Unfortunately I can no longer see well enough to even thread a machine that alone know but they're wonderful and they look like so much fun thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day and merry Christmas.
Absolutely LOVE your trees 🥰♥️ Your latest tree block is gorgeous, but I think your original wonky tree block is my all time favourite 🤩🤩 Thank you so much for sharing 👏👏🇬🇧
These trees are so creative and original, I live in Colorado and I just have to make a wall hanging that is not Christmasy. Anxious to see more of your creations!
OMG. you included the baby quilt I just watched. Delighted you laid it down so we have a better view of it. And I know I need to add more dots to my fabrics on hand. Enjoy Thanksgiving and happy quilting.
You have an amazing eye for very interesting color matches. I just love everything you picked for your trees. I love them better than traditional Christmas colors.
I also love a good tree block. I made the Moda branching out trees last year and it’s on my bed and I love it. Then you hooked me on the wonky trees and I made mine in Christmas fabrics and I am currently quilting it to have ready for Christmas. Can’t wait to see how this turns out.
I love this quilt block its such a creative release to be able to use different colors then the traditional green and red over and over. It really allows for creativity and color.
Yeah! I just saw this video as I’m preparing for tomorrow. (Thanksgiving). As I was working, I was watching your wonky tree video with the amazing baby quilt. It stole my heart! So, now going to push the start button and totally enjoy another tree video as we live in Maine and surrounded with pine trees. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and love your creativity.
I have watched this video several times. I just love it Nora. And intend to have a go at it when the weather has changed , and i have put the garden to bed for the winter.
Love this. My daughters would love this. Also, I Have a little comment, the black clamshell background is stinking cute, but the bottom section with the trunk is upside down. You are so particular with your other blocks, thought you would like to know. Keep these great tutorials coming! Happy thanksgiving!
I was wondering if anyone would notice, good eye! Yes, I sewed the background on upside down for half the block (and I think sideways on one piece). I decided to embrace it and leave it but I may still go back and fix it if it continues to bother me (which it may). Happy quilting to you!
I love your creativity with your pine tree blocks. What is the finished size of this block? 10”? If I need measurements for a 6” and a 10” tree block how much smaller would I make these pieces? I am thinking I should make a 6” or a 10” block to fit in my quilt . Thank you so much for your video.
I just watched your great video. I’m already thinking about the leftover strips i can use for this project. I have a question about the trunk portion. If the trunk is a 2.5” square don’t the background pieces need to be bigger than 4.5” to equal the width of the other tree pieces? The math is not working out in my head. 🤪
I'm curious now how well this block would sew up as a wonky project, using random strip widths and lengths. Maybe even making some strips slanted. My hope would be that it could come out looking more naturalistic. I think I'll try making one using only scissors. I tend to get wonky more easily that way.
