The new @trekbikes Procaliber with the aluminum alloy frame replaces Trek's X-Caliber, taking the more racing-oriented geometry from the carbon Procaliber. Trek has increased the travel to 120mm. We are back on the aluminum peak.
Can a front MTB in aluminum and a price of 1500 euros be considered entry level? The new Trek Procaliber 8 is not, because it is something that goes beyond the first price, it is a MTB already designed to give satisfaction to the slightly more advanced biker, who is making the transition from the first excursions along dirt roads and single tracks on the plains , to slightly more "spicy and crunchy" trails, but also for those who want to dive into the world of racing, whether in a race or against their friends.
Thanks to Trek we went back to pedaling on an aluminum front mountainbike, we went back to the origins and we must say that it went much better than we expected, thanks to a well-studied frame with a very low-twitch rear end, excellent geometry, the 2.4" tires and the standard telescopic seat post.
