Actually it was rated for 16,000 and turned down for 14,000. I only know this because I met the people that built the tractor.

please explain the starting procedure. what are they doing with the red bars when they atarts it up?

The running engines are used to start others. The bars are used to engage the clutch on whichever engines are not running.

I got to see Doug and his "toy" at the SEMA SHOW at Vegas in nov 2014 very hot and a very nice guy to chat with too.

I believe the first engine works as a startmotor for the others. I think they maybe engaging some sort of an axel to the other engines to get them to turn over. I'm just guessing..
