Bought this game on Amazon and coming to my collection soon... I've been playing this on BGA and this game replaces Ticket to Ride and Pandemic for me.
My sister got this game! light and peppy :) great gateway game if you want to see if folks like cube pick up games w cards involved. It's like backwards Pandemic and easy to learn!
I think you might enjoy it based on the games you listed. Maybe you could try it on Board game arena digitally first to get the feel for it before purchasing.
I don't know if I'm alone on this, but to me, so many of the mannerisms seemed like they were trying really hard to copy Rodney Smith. Could be intentional, could just be because he's really good at what he does so it's natural to emulate him, even if accidentally. Either way, it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. A really well produced video with good information and interesting hosts, but it grated on me. I'm not trying to be hyper critical, it just felt like a knock-off. I went to their channel and the 1 or 2 other videos I checked didn't have that same quality. I'm just some guy on the internet, so my opinion means almost nothing, but I would think that sticking more to the style of the videos on their channel may avoid others feeling the same way I did. Edit: After the teach, it's much more natural and I like it a lot more. Teaches me a lesson. Previous commentary still applies to the teach.
Must just be a Canadian thing, LOL... But seriously, thank you for the feedback and also the positives. Rodney is such a great ambassador for the hobby and amazing at what he does.
@@TheNerdShelves Thanks for handling it with much aplomb. Feedback is a tough thing on the internet because we're so conditioned to people being unnecessary jerks that many people automatically assume that. I genuinely just had a weird reaction and wanted to give my feedback because I liked your stuff and want to see you succeed! Best of luck, and keep on truckin!
I'd probably have to agree. That's a tough one though because I played both at completely different times in my boardgaming "life." I think ttr was great because of when it came out, but I'd rather play Trekking now.
@@TheNerdShelves I just got tired of fight of the same tracks. It just feels so limited. I feel like you have more options in the Trekking games which keeps people from being frustrated even if they end up not winning.
