I love your perspective on one brand wash days. A lot of curly hair influencers sometimes advocate for doing a whole wash day with one brand. I have felt pressure to purchase a whole line when I have products from several different brands I know work well together and give me good results. This advice was just what I needed!
@@BlackLabMama Yes, it is a lightweight, lighter hold gel. I am not sure why they call it a serum, that's just confusing. It might have turned out frizzy for you if you require a stronger hold. I am actually surprised my hair wasn't a fluffy frizzbomb with this because of the lighter hold and no cast. I usually require strong hold with a cast made of steel! Thank you for watching!

I've found that Treluxe stylers love lots of water. Helped a lot when I added water after styling or applied to soaking wet hair. I really like the shampoo, curl cream & Hi Def Gel. Reflex serum works better on refresh days for me. Love all the scents.

Wow this was so informative ! I've wondered why my hair gets mad at me if I do one brand wash! As they say..too much of a good thing ! How about a vid, stylers with protein vs stylers without ? Sorry if you've done that and I missed it, I watch a ton of vids lol Or a vid talking about how many wash day products should be protein or moisture vs products without...example protein shampoo then no protein cond then all stylers no protein....or moisture shampoo and cond finish w one or all protein stylers

I love your results from wash day to day 3 they all look wonderful. One brand wash days don't typically work for me either and I have always wondered why but I think you explained it very well. I love your videos they are always so informative. I always learn something from you. I noticed you said your hair freaks out after a cut and mine does too. I'm was happy to hear you say that because I was beginning to think I was crazy. I got a cut on Friday and my hair is currently freaking out. Thank you for the great video as always.

I actually thought your curls looked really pretty on your left side! I know things can look different on camera though. But to me it didn't look stringy. I think you nailed down what my hesitation is with ordering these. I've been on the fence for awhile (especially due to coconut oil for those products). I think I may stick to the gels - if I ever make up my mind about ordering lol

I have tried their products. I like the gel ok, but the serum made my hair so frizzy and I got no hold from it. The gel for me gave me a light hold, which broke up and got too soft. BTW, their products cause buildup for those who are prone to it.

Enjoyed your review. You're at least the third reviewer of this product line to state that this product line doesn't have a rinse out conditioner. According to the information on their website, Untie the Knot can be used as both a rinse out and a leave in conditioner. In fact, in their instructions for use, they say to apply, work it through hair and detangle, rinse out, and then reapply as a leave-in. Have you tried using it that way? I'm intrigued by this brand, still considering whether to try it out. I've seen many videos styling the way you did here with a brush, I bought a Denman brush, but still can't seem to get the knack of how to do it. You (and others I've seen in videos) make it look easier than it feels when I try it. 😄 Finally, like you, I like going to bed with the gel cast intact and letting the gel cast mostly break while I'm sleeping on my hair. I absolutely LOVE them! in fact they were part of my favorite combos video. I love, love the whole line. I use it as a one brand wash and style, and other times I pick and choose what I want. I tend to use tue serum a lot. I usually mix it with the Lus brands three in one styler. I have the best and lightest days ever 😍😍😍
Oh yeah, they’re excellent quality products. I’ve been using them a lot more lately and loving them even more. But I still don’t use all of them together. I get great results when I use a different shampoo and conditioner and then use the Treluxe stylers all together. Thank you for watching!
@@CurlyChelle547 the funny thing is that you’re right when you said, “too much of a good thing is not good either.” That happens to me with Imbue. I love the line but together is not good for me at least.
@@dennissems I’ve used it both as a one brand wash day and I’ve done my mixing and matching. I get great results either way but that could vary per person depending on their hair. I do feel like the ingredients in their products are varied enough per product that you avoid the “too much of a good thing is not necessarily a better thing” scenario. So I would say this brand is one that could be used a one brand wash day. Again, as with everything, it could be different per person. Hopefully that helps!

Plus I’m thinking if I get consistent results I can use them as a quick wash and go during the summer that I’m in the beach and my pool.
