In his time doing the solo work - Mark has become a very legitimate front man, song writer and singer !!! His voice has only gained strength and emotion as he has traveled this "Tremonti" journey !! A very thoughtful and deep artist for sure !! Thank you Sammy !! continued great stuff Fil - keep it up !!
I absolutely love this song. I always thought that he was talking about the man he sees in the mirror every day. Truly, that is the only person that knows who we truly are and what we’re truly not.
Fil, strong track with it's spine made from titanium. It's got the moves, it's got the -------, it will come home to roost and toast your brain. Loved it. #QcumberSquad #Tremonti - Fil, I'm off back to the study.
This title of this track "The things I've seen" actually refers to Mark's dissapointment in how music industry works, after he saw it inside-out. While the lyrics can also be related to the whole "until you walked a mile in my shoes" thing, he's specifically talking about a beef that Alter Bridge had with their first record label (Wind-Up records) which ended up with the band having to pay a MASSIVE amount of money, essentially buying themselves out of the contract so that they can keep the band's name and release new music under a different label. Like with many of their songs, the lyrical context can be interpreted in a few ways, even though it's quite obvious and direct for the majority of time.
It all starts with Tremonti. Whether it's Creed, Alter Bridge or Tremonti. It all starts with Mark Tremonti. Everything the dude touches is pure gold. So under appreciated.
Dont fully quote me on this but if Remember correctly lyrically this song was about marks experience in the music industry and more so related to the issues Creed had 🤔
