Come along with us as we explore centro Valladolid and the surrounding area. We stop by an ex-convento which is built on top of a cenote (Convento de San Bernardino de Siena). Every night (except Mondays) they project an entertaining light show on the ex-convento, and teach the history of Valladolid.
Later we stop by the archeological zone of Ek Balam and explore the ruins. On our way back we stop by a smoked meat restaurant with a pool (Ahumados Especialidades De La Región) - thanks to @GringosRUs.
We visit our first cenote (Cenote Zaci) which is a short walk from the center of town. After enjoying a swim in the refreshing water we stop by their restaurant and have some amazing cochinita pibil.
