The way he plays -> poetry in motion. He has some weaknesses, I know, but you always have to play him, no matter where. You can't lose such creativity and decisiveness in order to use more defensively sound player. Trent is something special, you can't find many players like this, even in history.
This is such a wild take. 'I'd rather weaken my defensive structure for the sake of a defender that has one good moment every other game and genuinely can't defend.'
@@connorbutler5900 “one good moment every other game” and “genuinely can’t defend” is downplaying trent a LOT. he is constantly involved in threatening the goal and building up play every week, its the defensive mistakes that dont happen every game yet are overblown every time they do
@@vism2812 Its not, though. He's not 'constantly involved' at all, and his lack of tactical and positional awareness means the midfield is NOT as fluid as it would be if you played an actual midfielder there, and we're much more liable to get caught with spaces in the centre because he doesn't check and doesn't know what he's doing spatially, due to not enough experience in the role. I just don't understand what all the fuss is about? TAA can ping a ball better than most, absolutely, but is he good defending 1v1? Does he check the spaces behind him? Can he play tight pass-and-move in a congested midfield? No, so why are we playing him in the most difficult position on the pitch and sacrificing the fluidity and experience of players that have spent their whole careers there?
Love how you never show clips of a half decent pass for an unneccesairy long time just because it turned out to be an assist 10 ish seconds after the pass. One of the few people making highlight vids that actually does that. 99% of other people would have included Salah dribbling past Zinchenko and then smashing it top bins for his assist vs Arsenal. But love how you manage to keep it to a Trent highlight vid and not drift off topic and in this instance make it into a Salah comp.
Exactly Gakpo and Darwin wasteful and Mo not at his best either! We need new attackers to freshen things up. Trent is too good. Need to build the team around him
100% i really dont understand why so many other fans think he should be staying at right back. his skills are best suited to being a deep lying playmaker. bradley is the more complete wing back.
@@liam3104 because he’s become that deep lying playmaker already from right back. the offence fully became his last season, and from right back he’s not limited to only playmaking from deep. this is a player who can affect every phase of play and klopp let him do that. we have the best right back in the world, big clubs around europe are leaning into attacking fbs in hopes of finding impact like trents. move him to mid and we’ll just be sad that conor bradley cant do what he does for a whole season. we have a lot of class midfielders. bumping one of them out to for an inexperienced player wont improve the team that much if trent is going to play essentially the same role
I think Trent is going to become even better under Slot's coaching in the near future. Klopp did an absolutely incredible job with Trent tactically, ability wise etc & is most definitely 1 of the best inverted full backs in the world! Under Slot's more patient, deep De Zerbi esque build up play it'll add another layer to Trent's game positionally & tactically. Watching Germany during the euros Trent could easily play the Kroos role as the deep play making wide centre back. Kross drops to the LCB role for Germany & perfectly builds attacks from there, Trent can easily do that on the RCB allowing Robertson to really push up & add width on thr left which he's best at doing. Whilst Trent can also come in & form a box midfield which he's done brilliantly but as invert like how Slot likes his RB Geertruida to do & form a 2-3 shape becoming a RCM whilst in possession. I hope Edwards & Hughes sort his contract out ASAP & stays at Liverpool for the whole of his career
Funny thing is that his best defensive attributes(which are good) are suited for a midfield position but people think that he would be a liability there...
He is liability In midfield he doesn't have the technical qualities especially press resistance to play there being at rb gives him time and space to pick out those amazing long balls
@@zamasublack7024 considering how often he inverts and doesn't get pressed off of the ball, I would have to disagree on that point. In fact he doesn't usually hold onto the ball for long enough to get pressured, unless he is driving with the ball
i think people are over-analysing taa. People keep on saying he cant be put on midfield because he just know how to pass the ball and cant do nothing else. As someone who has watch him play since his debut, i would say his only weakness is 1v1. His interceptions are very good, his reading of the game is very good, he thrives quiet well in tight spaces for someone who has been playing at rb for years and his passing range and vision is second to only kdb in my opinion. people need to understand that midfielders are not usually isolated for 1v1 in games like fullbacks do, so it is not a problem for taa. As i hace always said, taa is a generational talent and the only world class player in that england team besides harry kane. If he is to be converted to a midfield, i would say he is the controller type like toni kroos, xabi alonso and carrick. If he does goes to madrid, then club football is truly done for the next decade. The english cant see this because of club rivalries. He should be the one to lead england to glory.
