Last year, Dominik made a lot of perfect passes to Salah, Nunez and Diaz that they didn't kick into the goal. In the first half of the season, he carried the team on his back many times. He was physically and mentally tired when he was injured in January and was unable to play for two months. It will take him some time to find himself perfectly in his new position. Dominik is an excellent footballer, a great team player, selfless, technical, fast. Dominik is Liverpool's most versatile player. It can be used almost anywhere. Slot sees this, and it's no coincidence that he made it his base man.

Discussing the current midfield, as if this was the plan all along, is disrectful to Slot's tactical or coaching abilities. Seeing how things went pear shaped, over the transfer window, taking into consideration the way Slot has innovatively dealt with it, he has earned the right to be trusted, at least until January when something can be done, if they choose. Pretty sure he already has a backup plan or two, in mind, if required. Whether this works or not, will be seen, only if implemented.

I think if Trent leaves on a free, having a good contract offer on the table from LFC, it would be similar to Henderson going to Saudi, we still love them and have fond memories but the legacy is tainted somewhat.

Who would've thought that Jorg Schmadtke would be far better than Edwards/Hughes. FSG probably didn't want to keep him because he was actually spending the club's money that all our commercial revenue has been producing. Sure he didn't re-sign the Big 3 last summer, but that's literally all Hughes had/has to do seeing as he did nothing all summer. And he failed to do that.
