He's not leaving at all. He just isn't. He's a Liverpool lad, and he wants to be captain. Dude has an incredible amount of pride in representing his dream club. That's all there is to it for me.
@@jekanyika I agree! I always have trouble with the "Ooooh, he's friends with Jude Bellingham" aregument, too. Like, yes, he is. He's also close friends with players who play for Liverpool lol.
The guy almost cried when he got the Vice captaincy, people that think Trent is going to leave, really don’t know him. We have 4 untouchable players, and he’s top 2 on that list.
As a neutral fan from Arsenal I’d say modern players realise they can move without it having too much effect if it’s abroad. I could see Trent trying real for a few years then returning or going to Italy. The example of bale you cited returned to spurs a hero same with ronaldo at Utd. Trent could move during this period of uncertainty at Liverpool win a la liga possibly another champions league and then return when Liverpool are once again on an upward trajectory. Or move to a premier league club who isn’t Liverpools direct rival.
Uncertainty? We have a new head coach who plays a similar style to Klopp and a very good squad, it will be a season of transition, nothing more and nothing less
I find it nearly criminal that the previous administration let the three largest contract run down below 1 year. For Salah and VVD last summer we should have either extended or sold and I know people will say they would have preferred Salah to £150 million, but for the club the money was the better option. This year I hear the club want £65 million for VVD, we’ll sell or extend, but do something. As for TAA you either have to now build the whole team around him and our playing style and sign him up for 4-5 years or if Real want him, just turn the page. Even if it kills all the whole of the Kop by break their collective hearts. Talking of the Kop, I hear there are plans to redevelop it. Now if LFC could stick another 15,000 in there and make it comparable to the Dortmund yellow wall, think of the effect and the draw it would be to potential players young and older. There is also talk of eventually developing the SKD stand. Think of Anfield with 85,000 and the surrounding area somewhere you are scared to walk through.
I weary of the silly season and all the nonsense. Every year, the names sometime change but the nonsense remains - because engagements is what drives social media, not truth/facts/logical commentary.
Trent is one of my favourite players if he left i would be very upset, however could i blame him if he left no because at the end of the day players like Trent want to win big trophies and deserve too , playing with some of the best players in world football and a club that want to win .What are Liverpools ambitions ,trent being from Liverpool is why i do think he will stay i hope the club can really push on to start winning major trophies again with trent
I don't know if I want Trent to stay. Bradley is a better defender at FB and Trent did not look going or in Mr for England. He did really well before other teams worked out his vulnerability. Well him to Madrid and buy a solid RIGHT BACK.
Connor Bradley is best right back at the club, yes Trent has good pass and free kick but he definitely not a midfielder. Am just saying it not a big lost if he decided to go. Trent was targeted as weak link in defensive area and Klopp made a hybrid roll of moving into midfield. Did not work
Imo the interview is a PR exercise - to keep fans on side - it signals that he's staying at least next season now he's either already made up his mind that he's going to RM on a free & he'll then say something along the lines, he tried but it ain't working for him, or he signs a new contract, which would mean he definitely wants to stay as I truly believe he'd only want to leave Liverpool for RM and it seems very unlikely they'd want Trent unless it's on a free
Bale is 100% emotionally connected. He doesn’t just show up to CL Finals and preseason trainings because he’s still mates with Kroos and Modric. It’s a love for the club
@@LaurenceMcKennaonLFC "My experience at Real Madrid has been incredible. I’ve loved every minute. The club, the fans, everything has been amazing." "The club has always been great to me. I've got no complaints. What I've achieved here has been more than I could ever imagine." "It's not the farewell I wanted, but these things happen in football. I’ll always have great memories of the club and the fans." -Gareth Bale
Trent is the weak link in our team. Sorry to say. He’s targeted and is usually found out. Love the guy. Have world class vision and delivery. But a not a defender for me. I know I’ll get ridiculed for this but imo I’m just saying what I see. No other top manager would put up with his defending
He knows how brutal it can be there at Madrid, if he does the similar defensive mistakes playing in that shirt it will be just career ending for him. Trent is world-class but lets be honest he has defensively costed us so much. Hope he stays and Slot buys a midfielder like Hendo who cleans up Trents defensive mess or just unwillingness to be a defensive minded player.
i kind of get ur point, initially i thought why? there’s greats like salah, van dijk, alisson who are only top from their liverpool careers but then i realised u probably mean all time great. Imagine how highly gerrard would be rated if he went to madrid and bossed their midfield, he’d undoubtedly be the best england midfielder ever. Trent can establish himself as the prems best rb ever in the coming years with top performances but in the worlds eyes they’ll still say cafu, alves etc. if trent goes to madrid he can put himself on that level and be as iconic as roberto carlos
@@edrahimovic well firstly, joining Madrid does that to a player and erases a lot of the bias prem fans. Also look at how van dijk, Salah, Alison are treated. These 3 are all time greats but never see them mentioned. Liverpool don’t have a massive cultural influence with how big the club is. Look at the difference in which Vinicius gets talked about compared to Salah. Salah hasn’t been close to winning the balon dor. And KDB gets all the credit for being the best player in the league even tho he barely plays half a season. I’m not sure why, but Liverpool kind of get underrated and I think it’s because we are a humble club that don’t care about that sort of thing, which I love but it also means we don’t get the credit we deserve 🤷🏽♂️
@@timmy5876 yeah this is what I mean, gerrard is a prime example of the crossroads Trent is at. Trent also won everything for us which gerrard didn’t so. If we spent like arsenal and city maybe we can reach that level, just seems we’re happy to be around the top not dominate
@@Do27gg i get u, i mean from others fans pov it would be better to leave liverpool cus he’d of won stuff at multiple clubs but as a liverpool fan i think it’s more impressive to win more here since it’s so hard with the owners
