love that you uploaded 3 videos this week!❤️ i’m 1.5 years into my tret journey. still peeling but not as much as I used to. one of my favourite things to do for physical exfoliation instead of scrubs is to use a cleansing oil whilst giving myself a face massage. love that gentle manual exfoliation
as a guy with very damaged oily skin I'm confirming how badly tretinoin burns the skin. I started both tret and differin once a week at that amount and the burn made me unable to use anything besides washing my face and mabey one moisturizer. as a skincare fanatic and someone with anxiety, this was terrible as my self care was now like, any time water or a product touched my face with water, my face felt actually burned like a 1st degree burn. it was terrible. absolutely start with a program like Kelly is showing, or a dermatologist. the key to consistency is having some level of comfort. my advice is to start as low as possible, and if your dermatologist starts you high, but you still want to use it you can use half the dose (a pinhead amount) and mix it on a plate with whatever the topical is mixed with, like if it is the oily kind, mix with aquaphor, and if it is gel, mix with a watery essence or water cream. then call for a lower dose. if that is too much there's all types of retinol that aren't as irritating as tretinoin, but also require care. sunscreen is no option with retinol as the cell turnover changes, so this is why I advocate a vitamin a that doesn't burn when you apply anything
Love you talk about daily real routine no the once every blue moon that sounds beautiful but not sustainable over time when you are exhausted at night but still wasn’t to do the must for your skin

Kelly. Thank you for all your videos ! They have helped me so so much , especially anything anti -aging I buy most of the products you recommend and love them all!!!
This was very helpful! Thank you. I bought the liquid gold and a recovery oil you recommended in a previous video. I also use agency for my Tret and at the same strength so this was perfect timing for fall. Hope you do a winter version to see what you’d use. Love your channel!
Am wondering how much of the tret will absorb into the skin after applying an oil before hand? I do all the essence, serum steps, then and a light layer of lotion, allow to sink in, and then apply Tret, a heavier cream, then an oil. I don't think you will get the full benefit if tret if applied after an oil?
Thanks for this, Kelly! Very helpful video indeed! Just curious, do you wait 20 mins after tretinoin before applying moisturiser? Just wondering if this step is really necessary?
Kelly, this may be a dumb question, but I have the OG CosRx snail 96 essence and I often mix that in with actives that may be a bit too drying or moisturizer if I need a little extra boost. Could I mix that into an eye cream and get the same effect of the snail all-over cream you used around the eye area? I love the way snail feels once on my skin, but the texture by itself kinda skeeves me out so that's why I usually mix it in with other things. I've never tried it on the eye area though and I bet that would feel pretty great. Thanks for another great video. I live in Georgia, so while fall may be here "officially," we're not feeling it yet.... except maybe early in the morning. I'm getting ready to begin my own tret journey (I've been preparing with retinoic acid all summer so I'm ready to transition into the real stuff!), so your timing is impeccable! ❤️❤️❤️
Glad this video hit at the right time for you! It's not a dumb question, I haven't tried it myself but I think it could worth try, it has that similar plumping feel as the essence and with an eye cream you'd get the moisture element. Definitely try and let me know if it works for you!
Hello Kelly, Great Information and video, etc. I'd like to get the Dr Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence, but I'm also interested in the RNW Cerimide plus serum I've got the Pyunkang Yul Essence toner now. Can I layer the Dr. Ceuracle and the RNW serum, possibly also a vitamin c serum (or other antioxidant), maybe a peptide serum. Would it take away from the effect of the other products to use so many? If I used the Dr. Ceuracle serum and the RNW serum, which would I put on first. The Pyunkang Yul is slightly viscous and don't know if I should just leave this out. If I put it on first, would it sink in enough so I could apply the Dr. Ceuracle and the RNW on top?....Too many nice products! Thanks much
Hi I'm Loretta De Los Rios using Frank's account to make this comment with his permission. 🙂👋🤲🙏⚘👍 Kelly I do not think its good to wash your eye area with the cleanser. Dont you bring your products down ? Thank you for sharing your regime.
Yes, Vit A can lessen the efficacy of some peptides, especially Copper Peptides. I suggest doing your toner, essence and serums, then applying a lotion and allow a good 20-30 minutes (or even an hour) for it to sink right in and begin working, then apply your Tret/Retinol, then seal it all in with a more occlusive cream.
Omg I love TO B oil so much, and it loves my skin 😍. Thanks Kelly, still struggling with the tret flaking 2 yrs down the track so your tips are always super welcome. 🤍
I have been using Tret for antiaging for 6 years, after hydrating and applying a lotion as a buffer and still get peeling on my chin! Only slightly, but its still a bit of a pain. Using an oil or cleansing balm as a first cleansing step can help to gently remove the peeling.
@@LouLou-Aus That's where I get it too - chin and around my mouth, even though i do my best to avoid that area now. I have tried buffering too... helps a bit but still get the flakes. Funny because my neck, which is far more sensitive, can handle tret so much better than my face. 😳
@@bellesall6045 Uncanny-me too!! My neck is fine with it, but my chin peels! I have been researching lately though, that Tret can actually make your neck more wrinkled and crepey-I notice that my neck does appear to have more signs of aging than my face, so I am wondering if it may be true? My neck looks as though it has stretch marks, and this has only happened since I began using the tret on it. The study stated that a Urea rich cream is far better for the neck-it gently exfoliates, protects and locks in hydration and inhibits the look of crepiness. I have Urederm cream (I'm in Australia, so might be an Aussie product only?), so am going to switch it up and try it on the neck instead. Eucerin and The Ordinary NMF have Urea too, so are other good choices. I know Urea is great for the crepiness under my eyes.
@@LouLou-Aus thank you - oooh I i did not know that !! Might have to be a bit more careful there then... Good to know about urea and crepiness thought... def gonna try it. I am in Australia too... but know you can get urea from iHerb, and Lila Beauty stocks a shiseido version. I use tret under my eyes and then slather on vaseline but switch it up with urea instead.
