Tret has been life changing for me as well. I’ve tried so many acne creams containing benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, etc. but Tret has worked the best for me

My Tret went from 0.02% to 0.035% (in fact, my formula is exactly like yours lol) after the switch and OMG! I've used your Tret routines, specially Stratia, as inspiration for my own and I truly belive that that has made a huge impact on how my skin has been reacting to the Tret increase. I have also found that using Laneige Cream Skin Refiner is the one product that prevents my skin from peeling and getting irritated when I use .1% tretinoin. When I remove that product from my routine, my skin freaks out from the tret. It has been a life saver!
I’m really hoping we get something like this in my country, because while the tretinoin prescription formulations we can get are *hardcore* some of them are clearly a bit dated, I was doing research to ask my GP for a prescription and I came across a formulation that had lavender oil in it. Also, having all my actives in one bottle appeals to me very much. I’m actually on adapalene (Differin gel) since mid October because apparently there is quite a bit of research that indicates it behaves like tretinoin well-aging wise, but it feels less like taking a rake to the face. I do the whole “sandwich” lotion-adapalene-moisturiser and besides the massive purge my chin had on Xmas so far so good. If after I finish the whole tube I’m feeling confident I might switch to tret, but it scares me.
Love your tretinoin videos Kelly, I honestly believe I'd of given up on tretinoin without the help of your videos. I literally copied your routines added in the liquid gold and oil, hydration, vegan kombucha tea essence and the RNW ceramide serum. I had to find some different moisturiser as I can use CeraVe I have an awful reaction to it for some strange reason. But these products helped my skin accept tretinoin so well compared to the awful affects I was getting before I found you on RU-vid. Your amazing and everyone who wants to use tretinoin needs your videos. I love what tretinoin has done for my 40 year old skin its so good my pores disappeared and sun damage has reduced already and my complexion is so much nicer I really love tretinoin but it's hard to use the side affects without the right routine is bad but thanks to you I can use it with your great routines, thank you xxxx
I'm so honored to have helped your skin! I've heard some others have had a similar issue with cerave but I'm glad you found something else that works and it's really amazing when you get your tret routine down and the benefits start coming in!
I am thinking now the cerave moisturizing lotion is aggravating my skin. I am using it on my neck as I use stratia gold on my face. My eczema has flaring on my neck but since Cerave is supposedly eczema friendly I have kept using it. I think I'm going to stop using it on my neck. Which moisturizer have you replaced it with? I have used vanicream that comes in the tub and had no issues, I just wanted to try cerave after hearing so many love it.
@@ixchel231 I use the Illiyoon one and I have no problems with that one, I also have the Mad About Skin one but that's new to me but seems like a really nice cerimide cream and doesn't burn my face like the Cerave one xx
@@ixchel231 I forgot I also use the La Roche posay cicaplast and that soothes my skin so much I love it I just use it like a face cream under the tretinoin or as a spot treatment for dry areas. It's a really good one to try x
I've been using generic tretinoin 0.05% and I'm interested in moving to a custom formula. I'm considering Apostrophe since I read they offer formulations in 0.05% but the Agency formula of niacinamide and tranexamic acid looks really good. I'm gonna look more into Agency.
Yeah, I'm also curious about Apostrophe. I'm a little skeptical of Agency and how much of their budget they put into marketing/promotion. But that doesn't automatically mean one is better than the other.
I know that Agency will work with you to increase your tret RX over time if that's what you're interested in! You can also request the % that you want and working with your provider to get the formula you're after.
I have been using Apostrophe for more than a year. I first started with their standard tretinoin + niacinamide formula. But now I changed it to .05 tretinoin + 10% azelaic acid. Works great for me. Helps with well-aging, acne control, and post acne marks healing much quicker. The reason I picked Apostrophe over other companies is because all their derms are board certified, and they have pretty good IG presence, and don’t push products. Delivery is always on time, and my derm is very flexible with my changes to the formula if I want to change it a bit.
How much Tretinoin are we getting into our skin if we put so many other things on first and then use a custom formula that has other ingredients as well? My logic says I am getting a stronger formulation with my straight up .05 prescription. Am I completely off?
Great video Kelly! I do have some questions though. Does tretenoin penetrate oil though? Also, does having all those active ingredients put on your face at the same time good for sensitive skin? Wouldn’t it be better to use the Azelaic and tranaxemic acids in the morning to minimize the irritation that the tretenoin causes already? I want to incorporate those two acids but would never do it at the same time as tretenoin. I know it’s convenient but probably only something resilient skin can handle.
I have 5% tranexamic acid in my Curology formula, and I’ve been blown away. My tretinoin concentration was only 0.005%, now up to 0.009%. That’s such a small amount of tretinoin that I figure a lot of the earliest benefits I’ve seen have been more from the tranexamic acid (although I’m sure the tretinoin is helping). My main concern is melasma and uneven skin tone, and I was blown away when I looked at before/after pictures after just a few months!

whoopsie daisies. i should have watched this before, i have been using 2 full pumps on my skin, 2 nights in a row now! my formula is only .007 though, and the only symptom so far is my skin feeling warm and some purging! i’ll use a smaller amount 😬😬
We have a similar journey! I started with Curology and just switched this month to Agency! I also have the Dark Spot formula. I really liked I could keep my same provider when I switched too!
Great video Kelly!! 💛🌟💛🌟For some reason we can’t get tretinoin in Sweden anymore, not even with a prescription. Therefore I order tret from India and I currently have several tubes of 0,025% and 0,05%. My skin is funny though… I can use tret at 0.025% with soothing stuff both underneath and on top and my skin is red the day after and some days I can put 0,05% straight on after cleansing and my skin is fine with no redness in sight.🤷🏻♀️
I've been using tretinoin 0.05% for almost a month and so far i barely get any cystic ones, but i just get some pustules. but theres a bunch of them at once. I pretty much only have PIH and PIE in my face. WHICH IS SO STUBBORN. The tretinion didnt do anything to my blackheads however :(
Sounds like you might still be in the purging/adjustment phase, give it some time, sounds like you are making some progress though with less cystic pimples! When you are adjusted you might consider adding in something for your blackheads like BHA, clay masks or even niacinamide!
I tried to switch to Agency until I found out it would be $60 a month! I can’t afford that! Why does it cost twice as much for anti-aging products as it does for acne products? I don’t think that’s right.
I have the same eye combo right now! I’m on Curology 0.14% tret, 5% Tran Acid, and 4% Nia and doing the tret-on-wet method. I’ve been debating Agency but not seeing the value in $10 for one extra ingredient, unless they can do 15% Az Acid (which they don’t), though the dark spot formula is tempting.
@@ginabaldauf1487 Too strong, at least in winter. Everything was going fine during Summer, but I had some peeling on my chin all winter and I will probably back it down on my next order.
Is the Stratia Liquid Gold too much? As in, is it comedogenic because the amount of oils makes me hesitate on getting it. Plus, some reviews says it is. Im very intrigued with ceramides and this products come up often. Just unsure of the amount of oils in it. Shipment to SEA is expensive too. Dont want to waste it a product which is overhype but unsuitable for me 😅
I know it has been months since you posted this, but I love Liquid Gold. I have normal, sometimes dry skin, but I am very acne-prone. Liquid Gold has never made me break out, and I even use even more oils since I also use Stratia's Fortify. I was never a facial oil person, but something about Stratia has completely won me over. LG is a holy grail moisturizer.
Does Agency let you put your subscription on hold? I've been using Curology for 8 months. I use it almost... nightly but now I'm already a bottle ahead.
@@Linallarii thank you. I may check in with my local dermatologist and see what it would cost for a prescription for both Tretinoin and Hydroquinone. Though I like the mixture of ingredients I can get from Curology or Agency.
Yes you have the same power to delay or choose your shipment date like curology does, the user dashboard is almost exactly the same! I often edit my shipment dates too!

I use facial oils to moisturize, and I notice I can’t moisturize after the agency future formula (I havnt tried before yet, but when I try to put oil on top of it something is rolling off (idk if it’s skin, or the oil rolling or the future formula? ) idk would love to know and understand what this is and idk what steps to take now
