I can imagine Kershaw's response, "Trevor, you put it beside your other one." Then Trevor says, "But I don't have another one?", Kershaw: "Yet! You don't have another one yet!"
As a lifelong Dodger fan, it's tough to watch us struggle like we've been doing lately, but I actually find it most fascinating to tune into Trevor's vlogs during this time. I think I'm just so interested in knowing what the vibe is like during bad stretches like this one and what players do to cope with it and eventually get out of it. I've just, in general, always had tons of questions about the actual life of a professional ball player, so thanks so much for providing that insight to us, oh great one, Mr. Bauer.
The giants are literally better we’re winning the NL west and dodgers will trade Betts and Bauer and Kershaw to the Giants and we’ll win 3 more rings bc we’re a much greater franchise then the dogers
Can we just appreciate that the day he doesn’t feel on point is the game he carries the team on his back with a complete game. Even more important in hindsight than anyone could have know.
That is weird. It seems like every time a pitcher does something amazing, they always feel like crap the day of the game. David Wells, hung over from a night drinking with Adam Sandler, throws a perfect game. Mark Buehrle, has worst pre-game bullpen of his life, tells his catcher not to expect too much from him, BOOM! perfect game. Dock Ellis, tripping balls on acid, no hitter. This is probably an availability heuristic, but there's some awesome stories about guys having some bad days that ended up doing great things.
Magic Johnson giving Bauer a bunch of stuff and then saying “Here, this 1 thing is for you, the rest is for others” is absolutely awesome. Goes to show, they give but also promote giving back. True inspirations!
Trevor wanted to go to college at Vanderbilt where DJ was the pitching coach and he said as much when he got traded to Cincinnati when he told DJ it is about time I caught up with you. DJ is the best pitching coach in MLB and trevor knows it. That is one reason I was suprised Trevor didn't resign with Cincinnati. That and the fact the Reds have momentum under contract as pitching development director.
I love how Bauer is allowing the fans to connect with him through all his videos. What he's doing is just amazing. He's slowly becoming my favorite player day by day.
Trevor has always checked in with the fans. He didn't just start doing it. He did last year with the Reds and the year before with the Indians and Reds.
I think when Trevor does the game highlights for his starts he should put a tracker for each strike out showing how much he’s accumulated to donate to charity throughout the season. I think just seeing the dollar amount rack up would be dope
As a Mets fan, I want to hate Bauer but just can't. Remember people, he doesn't have to do this vlog, he's putting so much time and effort into it for the sake of baseball. I appreciate every video.
No reason to hate the guy no reason to hate no one, everybody is different and I applaud and congratulate Mr.Bauer for his success in the field and out of the field. Felicidades Amigo
I love how Bauer takes time out of his day to talk to his fans he shows that he really does care about us he’s not just a good player but a good person and he’s definitely my favorite pitcher
Bro, I am so addicted to your channel. Been binge watching for like 8 hours straight lol. Congrats on being reinstated, the entire suspension was such bullshit.
Every starting pitcher was in the running for this award. And This man won it. Every team had a chance at a World Series last year. Every team in the playoffs wanted that ring. And the Dodgers got it. I don’t know about Mickey Mouse but but the Dodgers got to go to Disneyland.
The way I look at it is, there were things about the 2020 season which made it easier than all the other ones. But at the same time there were things about the 2020 season which made it harder than all the other ones. And for that it balances out, but of course everyone has to argue. And the crazy thing is some of those difficulties/weird things about 2020 literally carried into 2021, people put way too much emphasis on simply the “162 game” aspect.
As a life-long Cincy fan, you brought me closer to the game I love than I have ever been before, and during a year when there were so many disappointments. I will always be grateful for that. You are an excellent pitcher, and the Reds were fortunate to have you. Congratulations, again, on your Cy Young award! Good luck the rest of the season, but Go Reds!
Your commentary adds a wonderful dimension to the game for Dodger fans & their competitors. Keep the "friendly" rivalry going with Tatis Jr . & others. Keep it real. Don't go to deep into showboat reality TV. You Rock. ⚾️⚾️⚾️
I truly think you are the happiest guy in baseball. Love your energy and the way you bring fans INTO the game. Take care and heres to hoping you get that no hitter this year!
Congratulations man !!! As a yankees fan you're my favorite pitcher it's ironic lmao dude you're a beast was hoping to see you in new york but i still root for you. Hope to see you win more man !!! Mad respect for calling out cole to.
Love this stuff. I’m a diehard Red Sox fan but love the fact the Bauer brings u into the life of mlb life. And that he hated all the stupid unwritten rules. Keep it up.
I absolutely hate that I never got to see you pitch in person as a member of the Reds (although I did get to watch you beat us in 2019, so at least there was that), but I'm SO pumped for your success and I know you'll be remembered not just as a great (HOF?!) pitcher, but for all the good you've done (and certainly will do more of) for the game of baseball. You ROCK. Congrats on the Cy Young!
Trevor new to you and vlog. I’m a 65 yr old Dodger fan. LOVING YOU and your attitude and approach. Hope my boys in blue appreciate what they got. 💙💙 You need a T Shirt with the 1 eye! 😂
I hope my state was welcoming to you even though you guys beat up on us pretty good. Glad to see you started giving us behind the scenes look into the life of a MLB player. Always has been my dream to be in your position but I’m not gonna make it there. But thank you again for giving us a look
Thank u Bauer for putting me in your second RU-vid video we met in San Diego in the caffe shop and we talked with u and your dad I hope u remember me thanks again much love and good job on that CY YOUNG u deserve it bro
Congrats on your Cy Young, Trevor. You deserve it, you're hands down legendary pitcher material. Also, those vlog-ception moments with Sue are always lit lmao
Damn, our Barnes & Noble just went out in KC lol. New to the channel Trevor, but been following your career for a little bit now. Loving the vlogs and reactions so far. Excited to see you play in LA, wishing the best for you this season 🙏🏻🤘🏻
I’m really glad that ‘journalist’ pissed you off and got you to start this! Cool AF to follow one of the best and you’re on my dodgers now!! Also jack paul will continue to fight weak people for a lot of money because if he gets to a real fighter and loses no one will really want to see it I feel like.
I thought that was a pretty good game all things considered. Got some really go reps in too, so it can only help going forward. Watching that ball cut in is so satisfying!
