Such a short yet powerful line. Every day we’re fed with news of the misfortunes of others, but it’s always presented to us as being so far away, it’s almost impossible to do anything. It’s mentioned in passing, to increase viewership via morbid curiosity. “1,000s just starved to death in Africa…now back to you Dale, with the cute dog story and morning weather!” Almost makes you nauseous…dizzy. Retrovertigo.
