You know who else had over 60 turnovers in their first 3 seasons? These HOF QBs Roethlisberger(62), Brady(62), Eli(63), Peyton(72) and Favre(72). As long as you show the elite ability like Trev has it really doesn’t matter cause he also showed the ability to bounce back from 4 Ints in a single game and still winning in the end like you mentioned. He’ll be fine the Oline needs to be better in the interior(it will with Morse) and WRs gotta stop dropping wide open passes(Ridley good riddance). They’ll be a top 4 team in the AFC along with Chiefs, Browns and Texans
Thank you for bringing up Peyton I forgot he had that many turnovers to start. I just don't understand the lawrence hate. He has outperformed majority of the Quarterbacks in the NFL.
@@APST21 I would put him in the same tier as Dak, Goff and Lamar. He just needs to have consistency to join the Burrow, Allen and Herbert group of elite passers.
@@APST21 he was touted as the best prospect since Luck and hasn't really been near that. Not his fault but expectations were high and he walked into a shit show. And now because of the weird nature of the NFL QB market, the Jags are being asked to pay him a year earlier than is in their best interests.
As a hardcore Jags fan, we haven’t provided Trev with what he needs to be successful and efficient. Most fans will blame the O line but the lack of having a legit deep threat receiver allowed the opposing defenses to play closer to the line of scrimmage and let your coverage play underneath because they aren’t worried about getting beat deep. Another benefit is stacking the box to stop the run game.
I'm a Texans fan and this is the most excited i been for this division in a long time. Its certainly the first time all 4 teams could be good in the same season. Im expecting a warzone in our division games this season
As much as I hate to admit it, CJ Stroud was amazing on his rookie year. What a pick! I bet the Panthers are extremely upset. My Jags have to earn the playoffs much harder now.
Bro you got a new subscription out of me. I’m a Jags fan but a fan of NFL football, this was extremely accurate break down of the Jags and completely unbiased.
I’m a diehard Jags fan. With that being said, everything you said is true and to the finest of detail. Trevor is legitimately the best QB we’ve ever had and it’s very obvious that he was behind on his learning process from his Rookie year and a lot of things just had to be dealt with on the fly. His Turnover issue is typically fumbles for the most part, he doesn’t ever really just force passes unless it’s a situation like 3rd down and he clearly did not trust that interior line after that injury which makes sense when you look at the influx of ints after that game from the rest of the season. He was trying to get the ball out faster and avoid the pressure knowing that he wasn’t completely confident on that leg. A lot happened this year, but he is still Elite and there is no doubt in my mind nor do I even think he will be remotely close to this year😂
@@Yannaro_Kimyes, statistically and in terms of prestige, he is the best we’ve had. But going off of talent alone and pure potential, Trev is the better QB. The only way he doesn’t surpass Mark is if he somehow stops playing football.
I agree, great video. I believe Trevor Lawrence will be a top 5 QB this season; people don’t wanna hear that but it’s the truth, he’ll be health this season with a improved Oline ( Luke was like a pillow at center) and a WR core that fits his Play Style with the addition this offseason in Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. Calvin Ridley was very inconsistent and dropped way to may balls, especially the ones that could have been a touch down. He had Marvin Jones the prior season which was his other best options deep when he needed that late conversion deep down field. He was lacking that last Season; especially when Kirk went down. This should be the season he put his name into that conversation.
Love this channel man. You actually call it what it is and understands what transpired down the stretch for my Jaguars. One of the best upcoming RU-vid channels for sure!
Trevor is a top 5 QB a lot of ppl don’t watch the games I’m a die hard fan and watch every second every season. He’s has everything he needs this year to shut everyone the hell uo
Trevor lawrence had a sprained knee, sprained ankle, something tore in his shoulder and a concussion the third to last game. That why they fell apert as well. I think the oline will be a strength this year
This is the most spot on video ive watch and that ive been saying ive watch all jags games and im a steeler fan only cause trevor is a guy to watch like i watch mahomes allen and Herbert also i think he reall hasnt had the weapon or the protection
There is a difference between not being ready to completely carry a franchise and being a bust. He had zero run support last year and poor pass protection. He'll be fine this year after the team has made upgrades to the oline and he'll also get some guys back that were injured like Cam Robinson. He got better last year not worse, despite the numbers, I will stand by that. They just need to cut down his throws a little and take some of the load off him which they will.
Zero run support? Are you serious? Travis Etienne was a pro bowl Rb last Yr with over 1,000 yds from scrimmage & a receiving threat out of the backfield
@@christopherhall9348 I have no complaints on Etienne as the problem was the o-line. However setting aside the rec. yds, as that's not run support, and Trevor would also have something to do with that. So if we're just talking about rushing, yes he rushed for over a thousand yards, but avg less than 4ypc and was 3rd in attempts overall so it was largely a volume stat, only 2 games over 100 yds rushing. Jaguars rbs averaged 3.6 ypc as a whole which was good for 29th in the league, 24th in overall rush yards out of 32 teams.
That game he suffered the ankle injury was in that very next game it was for the division his play suffered because the one seed was right there in the four way split
@@kevinlunpkins2691 did you watch all 11 games ? Our defense really held us down man. Couldn’t run the ball or really pass the ball efficiently. Just did enough to get by
Routes and timing are being sped up, because the O-line has been inconstant at best. As a result, the pass rush has been in Trever's lap from the moment he receives the snap. Combine that with the fact the Jaguars are primarily in shotgun and unable to run the ball only ads to the pressure TLaw is facing. Those are the issues and those who watch Jaguars games know this ✅
@APST21 good stuff man. Literally zero non Jags fans understand the workings of our ups and downs and how close we were to catching KC sleeping in 2022 AND 2023.
Thank you nobody wants to talk about anything that happened last season the bad defense and offense at the worst time do to injuries from star talent on both sides of the ball we limped into the second half of the season except you and nick wright
Trevor has an awesome arm. I read he was clocked at 61 MPH - when he was in college. I don’t doubt it because I watched a high school video of him and at the time - maybe five years ago or so - I thought he was better than half the QBs in the NFL when he was 17 or 18. That’s how impressive his arm talent was even then. Trevor will turn it around in 2024 because, well, he’s Trevor F---g Lawrence, that’s why.
I'm not at all concerned about Tyson Campbell . He had a stellar end of rookie year and sophomore year was fantastic . Last year he played great til he got hurt a few weeks in then when he came back he was not 100% and was getting exposed. He's def gonna be himself this season . Maybe even better
You didn't mention that Tyson Campbell was dealing with a hamstring injury all season and on that play against ravens Trevor fumbled try to make a play the 2 receivers didn't find space to get open thats why you bring in gabe davis if the qb scrambling you get open he top 10 throwing on the run most his mistakes are his teammates fault as well
Trevor Lawrence hasn't been generational but he's ultra talented and the best of his class by far. Jaguars been a laughing stock and aint been right since Tom Coughlin put them on the map. Forget the Blake Bortles era, that was a fluke.
Sunshine is incredibly overrated. That turnover issue isn’t just interceptions, but fumbles. He simply can’t protect the ball and he continues to overthrow his receivers and generally be incredibly inaccurate when he’s pressured.
I love seeing all the overconfident Texans fans acting like they know everything all of a sudden lol. Congrats on one good season. Let's see if they can do it again when we are actually healthy
@@patrickdonovan6650homie he was healthy the first time they played and got absolutely destroyed at home 37-17. TL is 2-4 against Houston with a passer rtg of 74 5TD’s and 8INT. And fun fact he’s thrown a INT in every game against Houston. Houston has the Jags number no matter who’s at QB. No matter how good or bad Houston was they pretty much know how to play Jacksonville. It’s not an over confident thing they just play well against the jags and history backs this up. At best they will split every year, the jags are nice but until he fixes that turnover problem it’s going to be 1-1 every year or at worst 0-2 against Houston
@@MildsandThatYac It’s quite comical that you only bring up the first game because it supports your argument. I guess we not gonna talk about the second game in Houston when he balled out and outplayed Stroud when we needed a big win on the road. Bro thought he was gonna pull a fast one and try to look smart 😂
I think Trevor worst QB in division.but Ar and will tape is limited. So in reality he probably the second best QB in his division.. CJ,Trevor ,then it's unknown
AR will either retire a hall of famer, or will be out of the league in 5 years. Colts still got the best guy for them. If I was the colts I still would have taken AR #1 if they had that pick
Bruh if i have to hear another lazy take about these so called "franchise QBs".. not every QB is a franchise guy. There is 5-6 franchise QBs in the league. The others are mostly average to slightly above average, and they should be paid and dealt with accordingly.
The Texans look “decent” on paper. Everyone needs to pump the brakes on the Texans. Stroud is going to take a step back now that the league has PLENTY of tape on him and they are now playing a first place schedule and not a last place one like last year. Trevor does not have issues scanning the field. He tried to play hero ball too much. No run game and the worst o-line in football. Can’t forget his number 1 receiver (Ridley) admittedly not knowing the playbook and running the wrong routes. He also dropped numerous touchdowns. His number 2 receiver (Kirk) went down for the year in week 12 and his number 3 receiver (Zay) was hurt all year.
I bet 90 percent of the people overhyping Stroud don't even know that he only threw 23 TDs last year lol. Not taking away anything from him, but people are acting like he is the second coming of Mahomes after 23 TDs
