the way you talk about the NRA is the same way that Orwell talks about government. They need to supply a surplus to keep people happy while also maintaining a scarcity to keep the people supportive and themselves relevant.
@-WhiteFang- that’s true. I have a really bad astigmatism. Holosun optics work really well for my eyes but I still run a T2 which is easier to deal with. Acog are clear and so are LPVOs
@-WhiteFang- lol, He was talking about “Red dots” and the acog) I made a simple point (because I have a stigmatism) that the “acog is also a prism optic which is better for people with a stigmatism). Let me say it a different way for the slow kid in the back, the acog, being a prism optic, produces a clearer dot for people with a stigmatism.
I thought the ACOG was done with the LPVO but i recently realized that the combination of a micro red dot/ offset mount and ACOG may be a better option and way simpler to operate
I fell in love with this setup the first time I was issued an M27. 2 main points a lot of people don't point out, it's a lot easier to go near, far, near, far. Roof, street, window, street.... Also just as important, running 2 different ZEROS. 10M to 200M you can pick an optic and just point and click.
I've always been a fan of ACOG scopes. Some people hate them, but I've always loved mine. Especially with the fiber optic chevron, if it bleeds too much on bright days, I just put some electrical tape over the fiber and BAM good to go.
Thank you for calling out the SOTs that could care less about the NFA being repealed! It is disgusting! We should all be working towards the same goal, FREEDOM.
I've always called that movement in the gun "your wobble". Learn your wobble and once you get used to it and your wobble will get smaller and smaller until you can rapid fire like a beast.
If you use the JP captured spring, be prepared to drop a few quarters down your buffer tube to space it properly. The build I used one in would short-stroke until I put a dollar's worth of quarters down there behind the spring assembly.
Granted I’ve been running it on a 300 Blackout short boi. If I was running it on a 14.5”/ 5.56 shooting out to 500 then maybe my perspective would be different….
A very good point here 19:57. I put hand-stops and handgrips on almost all my guns.... Both airsoft and real steel, intended to use them more comfortably in the shooting. But when I actually use the gun in a competition or combat(*airsoft) my hand magically forgot their existence lol.
13" MK14's last 5 minutes on ARFCOM. I was going to go Troy for my 13.7" because they still offer 13" rails but ended up going 12.65" rail from MI to keep the can (and it's heat) a little further out.
The Nine Hole Reviews guys have said that the Eotech's are actually a little less sharp than something like an Aimpoint for shooting targets at 400 meters (see their Eotech XPS2-2 failure point video). This is not with a magnifier.
Misssion dictates gear, if your running an eotech or red dot for engagements past 300 yards then your not smart. The magnifier would be a good piece of gear to have just in case it goes far out so your not totally useless, but if you plan for a fight in an open area then bring some magnification with a precise and clear reticule. Not talking shit about eotech don’t get me wrong I love them, they have ruined red dots for me. But that eotech is not gonna shoot over 300 yards on its own.
@@gunsodin5299 This is plausible to me, but from my conversations with military people, seems like most engagements at least in somewhere like Afghanistan are past 300 yds, and yet many of those people are rocking red dots/eotechs, right?
Add about $50 more and get a Holosun or a Primary Arms. They're made in China but are durable, have one on my AK and it has never lost or shifted from zero.
I hate youtube more and more. I've been subbed for a few months, and I just watched this stream, but now it's saying I'm not subscribed. Why do I keep getting unsubbed to any channels that deal with guns? It's so annoying cause I stop getting notifications. Anyways keep up the great work. Content never disappoints.
The NX8 eye box only gets really bad at 8x. Other than that it’s fine. The most clear glass at that price point, and the brightest illumination of any lpvo. I’ve got one on a 14.5” patrol type build, and the ATACR on a 14.5” Recce build. I like them both. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to settle for something cheaper than nightforce. Wasted a lot of money and time. Just do yourself a favor go with nightforce
Mr. guns n gear is one of those SOT people… he has bragged about it numerous times by saying he does t have to do this or that because he has an SOt. He has also said he won’t be more active in for the 2a cause he doesn’t want to get a surprise audit. Specifically i asked him if he would be willing to use his platform to help organize a rally/March,so we can try to do something and not just talk. Too many of these gun tubers love making money from the gun community, but very few of them give back.
How to get all this fancy stuff?? Go join the taliban. They seem to get pretty good deals on everything from acogs to blackhawks. It’s part of the benefits package
1:04:20. Build a Block 1 M4 on that Colt 6921 Upper. Use a KAC grip, ACOG, and a PEQ2 if those things still exist. Does Lucas still have the "Block 1.5 M4" from years back?
Super late but if you see this. What are your thoughts on the GPS grip pod. The legit one not the knock offs. Seen alot of buddies running them in the army for over 5 years now
Idk. I had a brand new glock 45 that came with aftermarket sights. I couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with it. Pulled out my other pistols, and hit the targets no problem. I would even rest my hands on a bench and still couldn’t hit the targets with the Glock. Had someone else shoot it. Same problem. It wasn’t human error at all. It was the gun there.
missed the live stream but do you favor a 45 off set for running a 1-8 or whatever with a red dot or do you like the dot on top of the scope better? I am afraid of breaking the optic on a offset mount
Hey I know this isn’t the video but what’s e thoughts on one Tigris for plate carrier or pouches. From what I read it’s airsoft but able to hold plates and etc. ?? Thoughts
@@kyleculbertson7444 the main reason i’ve heard is if ur in a hostile urban setting and want to be able to go white light and aim normally with your rds instantly. I could always switch eyes if i needed to or use the bindon aiming method
Amen on the length of the handguards for a 13.7 or 13.9. Try adding in a RifleSpeed adjustable gas block and Gibbz side charging in the mix and you are grasping for handguard straws. Getting ready to try a SLR 12.5 and 11.7 to see how fitment is. I don't understand these companies and their handguard lengths.
I want an SOT so i can have a small firearms manufacturing business. As i like the idea of making firearms, and even getting into testing and building new things.
Rare Breed is looking for legal help. So if you know anyone that can help. If you guys have and congressman that's on the 2A side, have them contact Rare Breed. The ATF is not a Legislative branch. They can make these laws
I agree I would rather have an ACOG but I can afford the vortox red dots. I have heard of ACOG breaking though but from what friends have said they were beat to death hard to kill, vortex I have seen a magazine test were they tried to break it and they did a lot it did finally break butt they used some gum to put the wire back on the chip and it lasted for alittle while longer.
If you want to look at the Saint check out the vid Honest did...changes my mind on that gun after seeing that. Wish I had been able to snag an Aero lower back when I did my build. Probably spent and extra $100? On the lower I ended up going with.
Lucas: “You can still do stuff with monocular tube night vision” Every convention Army infantryman: “Yes, yes you can.” Unfortunately, PVS-14s are still the primary NVGs used by conventional forces.
I am Prometeo from Mexico, my question for you is. about to practic with 22 lr on AR plataform?, because only i have ones. i am your fan, on this pandemic
The greatest handguard ever made was the knights armament mre. The centurion c4 is up there though. I have a perfect CAG m4a1 MRE clone. Hey Lucas you still hate your Schmitt and Bender short dot because that and a peq 2 is all I need for that mre. I have an old eotech 551 sitting on the larue riser just like God intended, but short dot is what I need.
it would be awesome if the +2 agility stuff applied in real life. If only the real world wasn't real. I really liked your comments on handgrips/afg/etc
I’m a huge fan of the bcm compensator/ flash hider. But when I get a can it’s gonna be on my 11.5 for a very long time, so I don’t think I could use the comp. and I’m kinda wanting to get a 30 cal can because I heard it will work fine for 5.56 but I don’t wanna have to spend an extra $500 for a new can, for now, of course I’ll get more after I have the first one but it’ll be a bit down the road.
Working on a 13.7 upper build and I’m left with finding a rail. G rails are too long to work if suppressed, so which 13in rail do you recommend? Thanks 👍🏼😎
Use a green dot on my SA XDM elite osp, I'm strongly considering removing it, putting the plate back on and replacing the suppressor height sights with tritium sights. Still playing with it.
Tnte. Said it was in stock. Paid for the upper. Said they had to wait for the rails. Geissele changed the rails. I got screwed over. Hate the upper for that reason.
I run unity tactical fast mount on my current "go-to" 10.3" build. I want to play around with the flip to center magnifier. I am trying to decide between the aimpoint 3x-c or the eotech g33. The g33 seems to be the better choice but my question is how much better? The guns primary setup will not include the flip to center magnifier. It is going to be more of a fun thing I may throw it on a few times a year. Is the g33 worth the extra $200-$300 ? Or should I just get the aimpoint 3x-c? Thanks!
Acog + offset red dot is still about as modern and effective as you could need. And right eye pvs14 all the way, or else yeah you ain’t going passive. That and you basically have to run an exps3 to see the target well enough through the glass
I cut up beer cans to make little shims for my scope mounts to make sure they are perfectly vertical from the rail... no zeroing issues so far. Anyone done the same for far longer (over 2 years)? Any zeroing issues?
I steer clear of aero I've had bad bcg from them and if something of theirs breaks they'll either hassle you to death to get it fixed or they'll refuse to fix it. Sad cuz they're local to me. They also won't let you go to the facility to buy or drop off a broken product.
Lucas, I see warcomps on all your guns, and that’s obviously for a reason. But I’ve heard rumbling that the flash suppression isn’t that great for SBR’s; specifically mark 12’s. Can you speak more to that?
