Trey Anastasio Band - Warfield Theater, San Francisco, CA - 5.31.03 Set 2 Mr. Completely John the Revelator Night Speaks to a Woman Caravan *w/ Carlos Santana
This is theeee Best TAB show i’ve ever was @ 🤷 how i came across this Gem 💎 man did this one bring back a lot of memories thanks for the video lol 2 decades later this is so Rad!!! Carlos And Trey were laying it down
This is a really cool set. Carlos, musical warrior, grooving w/ Trey's TAB. Somebody used the word confusion.. no musical confusion here. The Band, esp. the Bass, is tight and must've been psyched to have Santana play some "follow me" runs and his guitar is loud in the mix, as it should be. And the Warfield is a great venue. Carlos, the Revelator! All good.
Set 2: Mr. Completely[1] > John the Revelator[2] > Night Speaks to a Woman[1] > Caravan[2] Encore: Root Down[3] [1] Carlos Santana on guitar. [2] Carlos Santana on guitar; TAB debut. [3] TAB debut.
@@jam3407 Even half an eighth in public is pushing it for me now but by myself I'll easily consider chewing a fistful of Salvia, or 5 to 10 hits of acid. Rarely happens but it always pans out well when it does. Wish I could explore mushrooms more, I enjoyed DMT but it was basically just like a really short mushroom trip (still saw aliens and whatnot but that happens to me on every psychedelic) and like any great hobby I think you get more out of something the more time you put into it lol
Kevin Silvers Just for shits and grins, I was front row, stage left. There's a door that goes outside to the alley behind the warfield. Me and my buddy saw Carlos actually walk in from the alley carrying his guitar and amp, by himself. They hooked his amp up, and then next song they brought him on. So, he had no idea of set list, keys, chord changes etc. obviously they knew he was coming , but him not knowing anything about the music was true. Being in front row, we heard trey tell him a couple times the key or a key change coming up. Nevertheless it was a great experience. So, maybe that would explain his confused demeanor. He was having fun, no doubt.
