Trial in Amsterdam North to enhance cycling experience in tunnels 

On February 28, 2024, temporary adjustments were made to four tunnels in Amsterdam North, aimed at enhancing the tunnel experience for cyclists. The Amsterdam Bike City (ABC) Cycling Platform, operated by the Municipality of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Transport Region, conducted this trial in collaboration with the mobility consultancy firm, Goudappel. Their submission, Tunnelvisionair, emerged as the winner of the ABC Innovation Lab, where innovative solutions were sought to provide cyclists with a greater sense of safety.
