I was planning to play as a night blade too but after getting used to it. It's probably for the better. I'm sure the dev team looks at nightblade and was like, " o shit. He's one shooting everything on the map".
Honnestly Nightblade and Angela's Rune Seer have the exact same issues, they focus on dealing Statut Effects and killing mobs fast, the problem is the mobs just doesn't offer any resistance to the point that you can just easily killing them with raw power, if the mobs in this game were much more durable to the point you couldn't one shot or one combo them then Nightblade and Rune Seer would be completly worth it as after all 80% of this game is mob fights and they still perform well on bosses.
NG+ allows Hawkeye to have +50 Luck (assuming you used Hawkeye first playthrough). This increases his trap damage, crit chance, AND item discovery, complimenting all the Rogue's strengths!
Sorry for the late reply, but Rogue has some quality of life going for that Nomad doesn't. He builds CS better and has all 4 traps. He also has a ton of projectiles that cannot be bought.
I KINDA fail to see much use for Rogue....he’s good at seed grinding with Swallow Throw but Nomad is the light class u want on Expert and No Future imo Rogue COULD maybe be useful in No Future with Enigma as he can stand at a distance and throw projectiles from a safe distance but I still can’t see wanting to sacrifice Lunar Radiance and Crystaline and even Nature Aura and Wall for this when Angela also has Enigma and will do more damage playing this exact same role.... If playing on any mode other than No Future, you will always have Mana Miracle if your playing a New Game + meaning Hawkeye can throw ZERO COST, UNLIMITED versions of 2 of these moves by throwing Hatchets and Bumpkins (I just tested Grumpkin VS Bumpkin, they do the same damage)
