Nice moves. I cleared this hard mode map with a level cap around 11-12. And succeeded in luring Alvora closer to the old couple Erador and Ben :)). She doesn't have a chance to land a single hit because of the traffice jam kkk, so my ranged units have free attacks from the safety of high ground. On the other side, my melee units will take care of some of the enemies walking around. Thank you for the choke point on the map! Excellent!
This strategy is very good and I decided to use your chokepoint duo but to change a few things. First of all, I used Corentin instead of Julio. Second, I decided to kill the Aesfrost soldiers fighting Erador and Benedict as soon as possible, I predicted that Avlora would eventually get smart and take the other way around. So I killed everyone else, buffed Serenoa and Erador to tank and delay. Serenoa fled and Erador protected him some more while the mages bombarded Avlora from the roof at the right of the chokepoint. In the end, a buffed Roland swept in, Avlora hit him and went for the mages but didn't quite reach them, which allowed Roland to deliver the final blow. No deaths, my units started at level 10/11 except for Narve who was level 9. Great video, it was fun using it as a base for my own run 👍
They killed all my party group except hughette. I send her onto a roof. Killed everybody included avlora by shooting arrows with getting no damage cuz enemy couldnt reach her xD.
This is one of the better videos of this fight. So many people cheese or excessively grind over lvling everyone. I just did this on hard mode and only had to use 1 trap and only 2 of my guys were overlvled. Rest were 11. I even had a lvl 9 in the fight. Best run yet. I plan to keep trying with 0 traps used. It is extremely difficult as the game intends for players to use traps to beat Avlora while withholding the best ending.
Kudos - I just tried this and thought it was going pretty well until Avlora started moving. One shot a character every single turn and noone could do more than 10 damage to her. Eventually just had to accept that there was no way in hell I could clear it without using a trap to kill her at least. But this was very well managed.
Hard mode is indeed challenging in this game. It requires strategy and a bit of grind in the mental battles. I wanted "no-death" runs throughout the game at first, but the opponents really hit hard as you progress the story. xD
This map was extremely challenging. I didn’t want to over grind my units so I decided to just go down, kill as many mages and archers as I could before reinforcements came, and made a choke point at the bottom of the map where Avlora got stuck in the middle of and just nuked her down with Water + Zap. Was very hard and lucky lol
Still better victory than me in normal.. win only with 4 guy left. choke point strategy is on point tho.. i make a mistake and let the enemy got through, with their ability to push 3 space to the back..
The boss 1 shotting everyone, regardless of their physical defense, is a large part of why I felt this game sucked. I finally beat it a few days ago (on hard, mind you), and I don't see myself ever going back (unlike with FFT).
I mean if you don’t want the challenge of her high stats you can just use the traps. By not using the traps you are choosing to have to deal with her high damage head on, not sure why your own decision made you think the game is bad lol Also she can’t one shot you if you utilize defensive buffs on your tanks.
