First, let me say ismail’s ٹوپی was beautiful purple!!! He looked like a king!!! Secondly, pancakes are perfect food! Children do gobble them in the morning and so their mood improves and they don’t become cranky! Adults can have them also with peanut butter and they are just an easy food to enjoy!

"We won't be able to eat it every day" AGREED! Many years ago we DID! Now days most people prefer a lighter breakfast. I enjoy the old fashioned breakfast occasionally as a treat but it has to be on a day I can go back to bed for a nap to sleep off the huge carb bomb.

Chicken and waffles often comes with a white gravy so it’s all savory instead of sweet and savory. Most places I go to give you the option. I get both.

I think Manzoor is on to something with his idea for a new pancake: Kareeshi Blast. Just add butter.

The real key to perfect pancakes, waffles and French toast is to put a good amount of fresh dairy butter on each layer when they're still good and hot right out of the pan or waffle iron. Then you add the maple syrup or other fruit toppings (which I am not a big fan of, except on French toast stuffed with sweetened cream cheese.) I prefer a fresh blueberry topping, but strawberry isn't bad, as a second choice. But, I like my waffles and pancakes with just butter and pure maple syrup. I'm not 100% sure, but I think iHOP uses the "maple flavored" syrup which in my family is a big no-no. It's basically just sweet corn syrup with artificial maple flavoring added to it and simply doesn't compare with the real maple syrup. My husband was born and raised in the Adirondack region of New York State, which is nothing at all like "NY City" that most people think of when they hear the name "New York". There are mountains, lakes, streams and acres of forests. Farming and agriculture are prevalent here. This part of the state is considered to be part of the New England area of the country, that includes states like Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I moved here after we were married, but I grew up in the Southern part of the country and I've been eating chicken and waffles most of my life. I suppose if you're not used to mixing savory foods with sweet ones, it can seem pretty strange. It definitely seemed like the more they tried, the better it tasted to them so who knows, maybe they'll start getting creative with their home cooking. 😉 I remember thinking it was a bit strange when I first saw participants on this and some of the other tribal reaction channels dunking savory sandwiches or breads in sweet milk tea, so it must be that we're all accustomed to what we've grown up eating and changes to those things take a bit of time getting used to! 😊 Sending love and blessings to everyone in the Reactistan family! 💛🕊🙏🏻 Also the restaurant name is pronounced i- hahp as in the word "top" although "I hope" does sound lovely. It fills my heart with joy to see them enjoy IHOP. Do they have IHOP there or was it shipped? It looks great, either way.

Ghee to me has no butter taste at all but you can fry things in it and the oil will not burn like butter at all and has a high temperature when cooking with it. Also, you can keep it in the frig for a year so that's good but I would not put it on pancakes. You can get it at Spouts or health food stores here in the states. I make some Indian foods with it but will never use it as butter for flavor.

So, when I first saw chicken and waffles, as in the fried chicken and syrup waffles, I was very confused. I am from America, but in my area, chicken and waffles specifically refers to the Amish version of chicken and waffles; Which is cooked shredded chicken and it's juices made into a gravy, so it's salty, and then poured over a sweet Belgium-stylel thick waffle. Very different tasting, and not nearly as sweet.

Just checked, yep, there is an IHOP in Pakistan. Pakistan has more American food than South Korea (where I live).

I think that first pancake was meant to resemble a New York cheesecake, which often has a strawberry or other fruit topping. The pancakes looked different from IHOP's regular buttermilk pancakes, so maybe there was cream cheese in the batter. Chicken and waffles can be eaten any time of day or night. The origin of this dish was supposedly from the early part of 20th century: the jazz clubs closed down late at night, and the musicians and patrons were looking for something to eat, but some wanted late dinner, others wanted early breakfast, and so this now classic combo was born.

Sunday was French Toast day for me growing up. Mom got/took the day off so Dad made French Toast for brunch and we had pizza for dinner. Good times!!

In our house when the bread is getting a little dried out we put it in milk and egg with a little cinnamon then fry it in butter for our french toast. The butter adds a little creamy/salty taste that makes the taste shine.

For example, if you are going to highlight IHOP, then please focus on the traditional menu items and/or the combination of traditional menu items (buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon, buttermilk waffles, sausage, etc). ... I was a big fan of this channel, but, now I rarely watch. Because oftentimes, the "producers" don't fairly and accurately represent the "common" food from different regions. My favorite breakfast is oatmeal, yogurt, blueberries and honey all together in a bowl.

The observation is correct that chicken and waffles would take quite a while to make. It's certainly not something that someone is likely to make before work in the morning. This would be made on a day off or eaten at a restaurant. Definitely not when running around trying to get kids ready for school. A restaurant that serves it would most likely have it available at any time of day rather than just for breakfast.
