@@elisa6212 il marzapane è molto comune in Sicilia, ogni estate andavo in vacanza a Siracusa ed era pieno di preparazioni con pasta di mandorle. Poi uno può fare anche una torta alle mandorle decorata con marzapane (generalmente assomigliano alla frutta) e se fatte bene sicuramente saranno buone (se ti piacciono le mandorle ovvio 😉)

Real panna cotta is much creamier, definetly isn't suppose to have the consistency of a hard boiler egg, unless you buy a pudding bag in the supermarkets and fix it with it. Sicilian fried cannoli with cream and chocolate chips is definetly not a thing and cannoli looked so thick too! The tiramisù filling looks like a white cream filling when it's suppose to be yellowish becouse of the egg yolks and you're suppose to dip the buiscuits into coffee and put some plain bitter coco power on top, not coffee. Looks more like american revisitation of italian deserts becouse pasta di zucchero isn't something you cover traditional italian deserts with.

If you get Uncle Mustafa over for a dinner, then I get him next! His temperament is so much like my Father-in-law's who passed on several years ago. Slightly sassy, a bit hard headed, very knowledgeable of his birthplace and local customs. I miss the FIL now. Inspite of us butting heads a few times, he had a good heart.

As a Muslim, I can relate to how Mustafa questions every single thing he is given to try. He took "is this halal?" to a whole new level. Remember Halal also means also something beneficial and every food in excess could bring you harm. I think that's the real meaning of Halal as that's the sunnah.

Ever since last month, the entire Muslim world LOVES Italy lol. You probably already know but basically loads of Italian port workers refused to let a shipment of weapons leave Italy for Israel because Israel was heavily bombing Muslims & Christians in Palestine at the time. I think about 260 people were killed including 70 children. Those Italian port workers helped save many lives

@@dThapa966 I think a lot of the people in this video might be muslim (one of them used the word alhamdullilah (sorry for any misspelling) multiple times, which means thank god in arabic) and because of that, I don't think they got an authentic tiramisu. Proper Tiramisu is made with marsala, a fortified italian wine, which obviously contains alcohol. I have had the exact same tiramisu recipe with and without the marsala when we had a guest over that couldn't have anything alcoholic due to liver damage, and tiramisu without it just tastes kind of bland.

I feel bad for the cooks, it must be hard to make a decent approximation of panna cotta or tiramisu for the first time and with the ingredients available (unless they are from local restaurants?).... and then to have it roasted. I'm sure it was delicious but it takes a while to get into... maybe next time everyone will think its VIP.

Great to see Mustafa telling a joke and liking the almond cake. I often wonder why he does these videos- it must take a long time for him to come down from his village to where they film them, and he doesn’t seem to like eating the foreign food. But he must be enjoying it and he must be curious to try exotic food or he wouldn’t keep doing it Some time I’d like to see some interviews with all these guys, ask them about their lives and why they are doing these videos

I understand why she’s so picky though, trying new flavours that you’ve never had before don’t always taste good, sometimes “different” tastes translate as too foreign to like as you can’t understand them fully Like personally, it took me forever to like cheeseburgers because i didn’t have them till I was an adult lol

1- Not at all sure how marzipan is Italian, but okay. :) 2- Mehboob's English is coming along nicely! 3- It's a shame they weren't able to try my two favorite Italian desserts: gelato (which is similar to ice cream but softer and lighter) and cornetto (which is basically a croissant filled with pastry cream... I prefer pistachio cream the most!).

oh so that's what cornetto means? Wow! Here in India we have this brand that sells regular ice cream in a cone and it's called "cornetto" I used to think it was a made up name by the brand lol

Gelato is generally easier to obtain than other foreign desserts in South Asia. I myself have had it several times. They probably thought it was the same as ice cream.

Gelato is just the Italian word for "ice cream"(strictly speaking, it's an adjective meaning "ice-cold"). Literally even a tub of Ben and Jerry's is still "gelato" in Italian. Americans started using the word to refer to Italian-style ice cream and spread the word all over the world. Also, cornetti are far older than croissants (but I personally think croissants are way superior).
